its funny you bring up road rage. just yesterday because i had the audacity to make a u turn and pull over on the shoulder to do my job i had some PRICK chuck a handful of coins at me as they drove by. my window was open but luckily the dumb fuck had horrible aim and missed me haha

Caveat is there's no proof it means anything yet, could just be contamination with delta in testing too....but yeah.

 

From everything I am seeing, testing is fucked in the US for a little while, and right as Omicron is surging. Long waits to actually get tested, labs extremely backed up so huge delays to get your results, impossible / prohibitively expensive to actually get ahold of at-home rapid tests. We're gonna be riding this wave partially blindfolded which is not good.

 

Yup. We either should've had the at-home test kits mailed, or have everything shut down. Sadly we get neither...

 

I had been waffling on ordering a box of Binax tests for a while, and my wife really didn't want me to spend that much money we don't have right before Christmas. Well I finally pulled the trigger about a week ago and grossly overpaid for a box. Or attempted to. Four days later I got an email saying my order was cancelled because they don't have the tests and I'll be getting my money back instead.

 

That’s too bad to hear, I bought some at the CVS near me this morning. My mom grabbed one somewhere near her to test before Christmas. I’ve seen them lots of places. Always behind the counter (eyeroll) but seemingly prevalent.

 

My mom said she was able to make a booster appointment Sunday and got it Monday. She said she’s feeling absolutely terrible tonight, massive body aches and chills for a good few hours and a 99.8 fever although she said she is bundled up under three blankets and a hoodie. Hoping to get my booster just as easily but Philly is probably different than Missouri in terms of people lining up out the door to get boosted. Just hope my side effects aren’t bad because besides a sore arm I largely avoided them with both previous doses.

 

I knew flying into Florida for the holidays would be a nightmare. Made it a day and a half before finding out my mom had been exposed the morning we arrived. Have been at my fiancé’s family’s house since then, and I’m 99% sure my mom has Covid now. Probably won’t get to see her before we leave if she doesn’t test negative a few times by the weekend.
