I swear the first band on at Brixton always has shit sound, glad they were good though. It’s impossible for ETID to be anything than amazing isn’t it, I could watch that band everyday and not get tired of them.

Anyways to get this thread back on track, I always find Higher Power remind me of like a modern take on some of the 90’s hardcore that I was into back in the day, stuff like Shelter, Dog Eat Dog, early Life Of Agony.

This reminded me a lot of Dinosaur Pile-Up.

This was pretty enjoyable but a few songs made me go “ehhhh” and I’m still not sure if the vocals are mostly bad or not and I also can’t place who they remind me of and that’s gonna bug me.

I think they’re a mix of Perry Farrell and Layne Staley

Thats funny, I was legit just coming in here to say the vocals on this give off some heavy Jane's Addiction vibes. Its like Jane's Addiction mixed with Turnstile-esque hardcore. Not suuuuper heavy or anything but its groovy as hell and keeps my head bobbing the whole time. I'm really digging it.

This band finally clicked with me and I LOVE them now.

People need to listen to this band if they’re excited over Turnstile ASAP.

You can hear the whole song on YouTube with a VPN right now. It’s fantastic. This is just the direction I wanted them to go. I’m really hoping for a full length next year!

Honestly, this song is fine. It’s cool, not great. Kind of feels like a B-side from the last record.
