I’ll have to find an illegal stream of this tonight, I’m out of the country and YouTube tv doesn’t work here smh. I’ve tried a few VPN but none are able to trick YouTube tv

  5. And Owens has never been pushed or positioned on the card like Braun was

  6. Braun was expendable. He doesn’t move the needle for AEW. And didn’t even really garner much interest from AEW.

Owens would. You pay the premium to keep him. KO is the only person that has a built in main event angle with Omega and the Bucks that can be executed with no build.

There’s also the chance (and it’s a high chance) that Owens just wanted to stay. He has said many times (even the Bucks have said it in interviews talking about him). WWE was his dream.

Honestly, I think KO stays with WWE until retirement.

Makes sense, dude is 37 years old, understandable he gets a fatter sack from WWE than AEW or else where and he’s just wanting a more secure financial future.

Same, in my opinion the guy doesn't feel the need to prove anything to anyone, he is content with his life in WWE and his legacy overall. He did the best thing for his family. I guarantee along with the money he also will get a lighter schedule. Kevin seems like a very principled human being and he clearly cares about his family more than anything else by far. He made the best choice for them.

Let's get these people moving faster!

Let's see if he keeps the status they've got him at right now. Based on their past usage I'm sure he'll be working filler stories in no time again (unfortunately). And should he get a belt soon, and their ratings and attendance continue to rightfully decline, I can picture him being used as a high-paid scapegoat. I say all of this with sadness, as he's probably my favourite wrestler. The wasting of him and Finn the past few years have put me off the WWE product maybe more than anything else.

Good for KO now KOR and JG get to AEW please

  15. I wouldn’t be shocked to see KOR tonight or next week.

He’s basically got a Dolph Ziggler type spot in the company but in or around the main event instead of the PreShow, which doesn’t sound like a compliment but definitely is. He can work with big guys, small guys. He can be heel, he can be face. He can carry a feud on the microphone without much match time and he can work 30 minute classics. I think in 5 years he’ll be a lock for the HOF there, assuming he stays.

The only thing that could potentially get me to tune back in to some WWE TV again is if KO is pushed hard and booked well in a big main event program leading to mania or something.

we've seen the story before though. Even if they give him a big mania moment, they'll still eventually throw it all a away and have him squashed in 20 seconds at some point.

WWE need a radical overall with Vince either dying or leaving the company in order to get me to actually care much at this point. I'm happy people like KO are getting paid, but there is little they can do to make me care about anything at this point. Been burned too many times.

He really hasnt had a good WM spot. Hell, his first WM as a major part of the ladder match might have been his best.

Rumor is he's now the 2nd highest paid guy behind Roman...so, we're talking multi-millions per year, like $3-4+ mil/yr kind of money. I know AEW has paid good contracts, but, no way they are offering KO that with all the guys they have.

Agreed 100% with this too. Its why they gave KO so much; you see Punk/D-Bry come in and blow the doors off, Cole and Fish walk in and get a spot right away, see Miro running their mid-card, see Mox as their champ...letting a guy like KO walk is that extra dagger that makes even the lifers like a Seth wonder whats gonna be left

Or worse, he wins it at Day One as a set-up so that Lashley or McIntyre can win the rumble and take it off him at WM. So he ends up as a transitional/desperation champ again.

They really dropped the ball not letting him be the guy to beat Roman in that LMS match

I'm especially curious what Sami is gonna do. I don't think WWE values him as highly as they do KO. And I could see both lots of reasons for him staying (he seems to actually likes the role he is in, its a fairly safe spot, pay will be great, maybe WWE will finally give KO and Sami a tag team push) and reasons for him going (the spot he's in doesn't really take full advantage of his actual wrestling skills, he's rather not continue to work for people as morally flawed as Vince...)

But thats the thing I was saying before. I dont think he gives a shit nearly as much as securing his family financially.

KO is going on some podcast I never heard of to explain his rationale, drops tomorrow

oh yeah exactly. It's a great move for Kevin.

I'm just saying, even though I like Kevin and am happy to see him get paid, a big push for him still probably wouldn't be enough to get me to tune in.

Ohh, yeah. You’re right. Booking will always suck ass outside of Roman and Brock

  25. I posted it earlier but he’s gone. According to someone that leaked the KO news a month ago to the mods of r/SC.
