Has anyone ever purchased a preorder figure from Ringside Collectibles? I purchased one awhile back as a Christmas gift for a friend and can't find anywhere on their site to track it. In these heights of payment, i am not sure "he has to look out for his family" is such a good argument. As if getting payed a little less still isnt more than enough to look out for his family..multi millionaire anyways i guess.

Yeah but this could be setting up his grandkids potentially. I mean look at other pro athletes who make much more and go broke. And not to mention there’s probably a high chance he doesn’t make it to the end of the contract without being released, you have to make as much as you can while you can.

Wrestlers have a small window to make as much money as they can. They have little job security, no idea how long their health will hold up, and aren’t particularly well taken care of once their wrestling days are over.

It's not that farfetched. They've released guys like Braun and Bray who were significantly bigger players than Owens has been the last few years. It's also weird from WWE's perspective to throw a ton of money at someone you've literally had for years and failed to utilize properly.

 

They gave Owens more money than they even offered Bryan. I don’t see them just cutting him out of nowhere.

You don’t make someone the second highest paid active guy on the roster to cut them.

Guess we’ll see.

 

Hangman needs to win clean. Legitimizes his reign right off the bat. Loss doesn't do much to Bryan here and if anything, gives his character more of a reason to get bitter and pissed off.

 

Extremely weird behavior to wish or predict a dude gets released when he just signed an unprecedented contract because he didn’t go with the tv show you like better.

 

I mean, that's exactly what happened with Braun. Large contracts cut both ways. It makes you teflon in some regard, but it also makes you a prime target for the chopping block if they think you're making more money than you're worth. And if they didn't think Owens was worth featuring to the degree he should've been at a time when he was making *less* money, what made him worth featuring prominently now?
