Getting Alchemy from the first repress a few years ago was such a feeling. I don’t need this one, but they sure as hell look good.

 

the alchemy repress was the one i was waiting for to make this vinyl hobby worthwhile. i'm all in now.

 

Alchemy Index is my favorite Thrice record and the one that has survived the test of time for me. I still like their other stuff but mostly for nostalgia. Wish it was a bit cheaper but couldn't say no to that repress.

 

to be fair, i wasn't so high on earth and air, for whatever reason it didn't click... then. now, in covid times, it hits harder now. 15 years or so later, there isn't a bad track on any of the albums. so in this moment to finally get a copy on vinyl means a fucking lot.

 

Glad that more people are able to get these at a reasonable price. I paid way too much for a copy a few years ago. No regrets, though.

 

It's sold out now, so hopefully if you wanted one, you were able to get one.

Pretty pumped I found a copy of John Mayer's Born and Raised at a record store and did not have to go to the secondary market.

 

Got some new Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers and they sound great. Thanks @Elder Lightning !!!

 

some finds this past week

 

The guy who runs Near Mint announced/hinted at 3 albums they're pressing in 2022 in a vinyl Facebook group. Looks like:

Sherwood - Qu
Cassino - Kingprince
Rookie of the Year - The Goodnight Moon

Proceeded to immediately revisit Qu and become more pumped than I already was that it's getting pressed.

 

I still haven’t spun my Brighten record from Near Mint, but my Sherwood Sing But Keep Going from them sounds pretty butt

 

Bummer. I was thinking about picking that one up.

 

Just recently got that fear before TAOM repress. Sounds awesome. Eagerly awaiting an OG copy of “All The Footsteps…” by Envy
