being a highway worker i work w cops regularly w varied experiences. ive had everything from them being cool af and offering to grab me a coffee at wawa to almost being arrested a couple times lol. the nj staties are genuinely some of the biggest pieces of shit ive encountered in my life.

but yea i have no idea how the police problem will ever be fixed. my best idea is to make it require a very time consuming school degree to get into to filter out all the meatheads. but even if that worked it would take generations to pass before the results showed.

 

Sawant took the lead in her recall election. She’s just got the juice.

In a strictly takes-based world, she should primary Jayapal just to piss people off more.

 

first off, she'd get crushed. she represents the left most district in one of the left most cities in the country, and still only manages to win her elections by narrow margins. She could *maybe* win a race against a moderate do nothing dem in this district (like she did in her first election which was city wide), but definitely couldn't take down a well liked progressive

secondly, her strengths are far more suited for the community level work of a council member than anything at the national scale.

that being said I do love watching her fall behind in early election results, watching the neolib and conservative fucks celebrate, and then she comes back again to take the lead. Done it like three times now lol

Yeah, all this is why i said in a takes-based world. Because i like watching people melt down.

She also wouldn’t be running in a primary, because she is truly (in a way distinct from the DSA electeds) not a Dem.
