Ready to hear owners pretend to be sad and complain about how unfair it is when they could’ve avoided this while all the fans blame manfred more, fun

I think there is a risk of spring training being delayed but i don't think this will ultimately impact the start of the season. nothing is going to get done until it's crunch time. i would expect absolutely nothing to happen until at the very soonest like, the last week in january.

man when Heyman has nothing to tweet about during the lockout, his "tweeting for the sake of tweeting" is going to be entirely new levels of terrible.

  15. I'm less optimistic frankly. I think spring training starts mid-march, season starts late april, 140-game season. I also think some kind of permanent shortening of the regular season schedule by 10-12 games is likely though.

  16. And honestly I'd rather miss a month of baseball and have the players stick it out and bleed the owners a little bit to get some concessions that could actually improve the state of the league. Owners' bottom lines don't get affected until games start getting cancelled. Sure cancellations mean reduced salaries for players but that's what the strike fund is for and it's completely worth it in the long run.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised and ownership will get reasonable in Jan-Feb but uhhh who wants odds on that lol

I love how the Red Sox have signed Rich Hill 7 times in Rich Hill’s 18 year career.

They had to if they wanted those two prospects back, that’s why the Brewers didn’t include any cash in the deal. They weren’t going to trade Renfroe for JBJ straight up. This is similar to what the Sox did last year getting Ottavino and two prospects.
