Didn't the first season take him like, 5+ years of footage to make? How'd he make a new one so fast?

 

I read an interview a while back that basically said he had a team of people also capturing footage for this one which helped speed things along.

 

ahhh interesting, hopefully they can catch gold just like he does

Yeah the How to Make Small Talk ep is a classic. The spring break segment alone but every second is amazing

 

I learned that Conner O'Malley (Joe Pera Talks With You) and writer Susan Orlean (The Orchid Thief) were on the writing team this season along with John, now i'm even more excited.

 

Solid season premiere.

Just the thought of buying a home in New York City is incredibly anxiety inducing to me.

 

God I fucking love this show

Season 1 was written by Wilson, Michael Korman (co-creator of Nathan For You), and freelance journalist Alice Gregory.

O'Malley and Orlean just joined this season, making it a 5 person writer's room.

 

His old building being used as a stand in for Syria Lmao

 

Loved the bit where he's struggling to explain what his show is about to a loan officer at the bank.

 

Really great interview with Wilson from Slate about season 2, the new writers, and the show's writing/production process. Contains spoilers for episode 2.

Looking forward to the time John ruined an Acapella convention hosted by the NXIVM cult leader guy while he was college story next episode.

 

Started this tonight. Knocked out 3 episodes. Wonderful.
