$100 is the most I’ve spent on a single record, and even then it took like 6 years of watching one copy at a time occasionally come and go online to finally be like “this is never coming down in price and I will always want it, time to bite the bullet”

 

ha yeah i guess? I had no idea. like 5 years ago Dave's Records posted a picture of something and it was in the background so I drove up there that afternoon and bought it for like $75. no brainer since its a top 5 album ever for me.

 

I got it for $38 out of Canada three years ago.

 

I’ll get it eventually, at some point. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

If I can’t get the Script or acetate press, I’m okay with my mint never sticker’d misspelled copy.

 

My local record store usually has copies of The Art of Drowning, I'm going to pick it up the next time I'm there. I wish I could find Sing the Sorrow.

 

Sing the Sorrow is my priciest record.

 

Tempted to sell my Turnstile album and get it again for cheap when it inevitably gets a second pressing. But also I don't think it's worth that much and I don't want to rip anyone off.

The most I’ve spend on a single record (The Last Five Years soundtrack) is $120, and that’s only because I love that album and like one copy a year would get listed. I ended up messaging everyone on discogs who had it, and got told no by everyone lmao. And then one of them messaged me like a year later saying they changed their mind and would sell it.

 

i did read an interesting rating on Eminem's curtain call album that 'the album skips cause low end record players can't handle the bass'. i... never even thought of that. *contemplates said Eminem album for purchase*

also of note: some of these vinyls are sold out online. the foos, for example, is supposed to be in stock on the 19th... but the b2g1 sale starts on the 21st.

Damn, my max is only $11K. Kind of feel like a loser tbh.

that said, I have never once went out of my way to buy a special or unique variant.

How do you even sort by value on Discogs? When I go to sort, my only options are artist, title, year, added, label, format and Catelog#

Other than my total estimated collection value, I don't see value anywhere on the app by any of my individual records.

 

That’s my top six in terms of value. Should add that my Melodrama copy unfortunately got scuffed by a record holder, so that’s definitely not at max value haha. One of my favorite albums ever, though, so I’d never sell it.
