The Francis/Frankie Shaw thing is definitely an easter egg. The first two points, sure, but it will be so fucking dumb if it turns out Elliot's mind is being controlled from some fake morphine. There's no way the show is like "We've hacked computers...and now we hack brains.

If you really want to be spoiled ok

With the door it was the NYPD to arrest Elliot for hacking his Psychologist's ex boyfriend and stealing his dog.

With Tyrell That has yet to be seen. It's pretty unlikely and would be pretty stupid at this point

Thanks. I gave up on this show once it went full Fight Club; the montage of "this is what Elliot was really doing" was the last straw. Went from homage to rip off a little too noticeably.

So with the door at the end of last season, he gets arrested and stays in jail until like what, episode 7 of season 2? I know there was a "dream" type situation going on for most of season 2, right?
Tyrell has been a regular character, doing his own thing this season?

Couldn't disagree with you more on the direction the show went, but hey to each his own.

So with the door Yes he's in jail for most of 2nd season (he pretty much puts himself in jail in order to try to rid himself of Mr. Robot) but he imagines he's staying with his mother in order to make things easier for himself. It's one of those things like the twist in season 1 where they made it very obvious to everyone from the start, but it was still cool when they revealed it

With Tyrell he's gone mysteriously missing since after the hack at the end of season 1. He's only appeared in flashbacks and hallucinations. Elliot trying to figure out the mystery of his disappearance and Mr. Robot trying to hide that truth from him is one of the major plot points of this season. Most expect him to finally show up in the season finale

I remember thinking "wow, finally something completely original." Sure, it wasn't completely original, but it was original enough if that makes sense.

Then the homage started to become more apparent, then the Project Mayhem type of motive came into play, then the Fight Club climax happened and I was done.

Tyrell will show up in the season finale and be like, "hey Elliot, I just got back from a supply run, what did I miss?" Then next season there will be a bottle episode of him being gone that in no way advances the plot.

I honestly like the walking dead for dumb entertainment, but God it is bad most of the time

I only assumed at first she was. I don't think that anymore.

That was the most suspenseful 20 minutes of television I have ever seen.

I really want to know why Mr. Robot disappeared when Elliott got the phone call. Most intriguing moment.

    Where are your friends tonight?

That reminded me of Mulholland Drive, which made me even more intrigued.

I realized that the season finale is airing when I'm at JFK waiting to fly to Paris (around midnight).

Win some/lose some. Maybe the plane will have wifi and I get get it from the itunes store on my phone sometime during the night.

That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

The scene where Elliot asks us to look around his apartment reminded me of a Blue's Clues episode haha. I didn't see anything, do you guys? Not sure if we were supposed to actually find something or not.

haven't felt that much suspense since the Harvey Dent/Rachel rescue scene in The Dark Knight.

Am I the only one who just can't stand Angela this season? I cringe every scene she's been in; the acting just feels so forced, her actions frustrate me immensely, and she looks so guilty in every single scene she's in.

I have an extremely hard time believing she wouldn't have been found out sooner, between how sketchy she acted with the femtocel and how obvious it was that she was up to something in her new job at E Corp.

Can't tell if she's a bad actor, or if she's supposed to look like such a bad liar and everyone just indulges her.

How many days in Paris? Make sure you go up the Arc de Triomphe at night. It's the best view of the city. And if you manage to be there at the start of the hour, say 10pm, the Eiffel tower will glitter for 5 min.

I'll be there for about a week. Thanks for the tip! I scheduled a 10pm trip to halfway up the Eifel tower, but nothing at the Arc yet.

At first I couldn't stand her this season but then I thought her performance was just perfect. As a viewer for this show, I think we're made to experience the scene from whoever's perspective is at the center. When it's Angela's scene, we're supposed to feel just ask awkward, uncomfortable, and guilty as she feels.

  21. Loved that episode. I'll have to watch Hacking Robot sometime this weekend.

I like Angela a lot more this season than last. I think they've given her character more interesting things to do, and I enjoy Portia Doubleday's performance. She's played on the spectrum between uncomfortable/naive/awkward and assertive/confident/driven very well this season.

I guess I just don't see the assertiveness/confidence; looks more like she's trying to act that way (which, for her character, I'm sure is true- what with the "self help" tapes and all)

Idk, maybe her character is supposed to be incredibly obvious/unconvincing, and E Corp is purposely acting like they don't notice to get what they want from her. That's what I'm hoping, at least.

This just won a Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score).

Best score and soundtrack on TV today, definitely well deserved.

I love this so much. I have no fucking clue what is going on most of the time, but it's very good. I guess I'm just missing the big picture entirely.

That last episode was my favorite so far. That scene on the subway with Angela was long overdue, but wasn't rushed and done so well
