The Rittenhouse judge sucks but one thing that’s getting lost here is that the prosecution is both sleazy and bad at their job - trying to introduce propensity evidence, asking Rittenhouse legal questions, trying to ask him about why he didn’t say x y x to the cops (which is a clear violation of his right to silence even if he chooses to testify later). These aren’t niche or nuanced issues that these guys definitely know but are trying to slip in anyway because it’s what all prosecutors do because they’re actually often horrible at their job when it isn’t an open and shut case

 

You know there’s some obviously criminal stuff in those records and they still probably won’t make a difference
