Sophia especially has really interesting, nuanced, eloquent takes. I'm consistently impressed when I listen to that podcast. I kind of fell behind on the OC one because they didn't seem to be engaging with the material very deeply.

 

I should watch OTH. Of the classic 00s-early 10s YA shows I’ve seen during the pandemic, i go:

Friday Night Lights>Gilmore Girls>>OC>>>>>Gossip Girl

 

OC is king but I did watch a lot of OTH

 

Only know one tree hill from the soup haha

 

One Tree Hill soundtracks were great, lots of Shout Out Louds and stuff like that

When are we getting a new Death Cab album

 

First season of The OC is more bonkers fun than any of those shows. But then it kind of crashes off a cliff.

I recall being mixed on S4. Some great stuff in S2. I will die on the hill of S3 being a complete piece of shit.

Aside from that atrocious Christmas episode where it's all a dream, I really liked season 4.

 

S4 is a very fun tone for the OC.

 

I’ve been watching the oc for the first time despite having been in prime age for it when it came out. Like half of season 1 is a legitimately excellent show and it’s otherwise been fun but ridiculous. I’m mid season 3 at the moment

 

still can't believe mmm whatcha say was the first time anyone had heard Hide and Seek, I can't even imagine

 

absolutely absurd scene

 

(Technically, they play it earlier in that episode too, during a funeral scene, so that would have been the first time.)

 

My only knowledge of that song is the Jason Derulo version

 

The Derulo version is a true bastardization.

I saw them in slc a few months ago and have seen them a handful of times post-walla. This last time, was the best i've seen them musically. They were getting pretty experimental with some of the tracks (and even some of the tyft sounded actually interesting).

No that they've got the 'safe one' out of their system with dave and zac, I'm anticipating something pretty amazing.

 

i’ve kinda lost anticipation for this band to turn something out that wows me the way they did every time through narrow stairs but i’d love to be wrong

 

Same but I'll forever check out their stuff and hope I get a few songs I love on every record.
