A lot of “we” and “us” in there when as far as I know but correct me if I am wrong, the bulk of accusations are against Jack. Let’s hear from him directly.

This is not “bullshit”. I don’t like Tiktok, but if it helps survivors get their stories out, then that’s a positive.

Is it me or is that possibly the worst statement any of these artists have ever put out?

 

I always wonder what bands who confidently claim to know for absolute certainty that allegations are false have to corroborate that. It always seems like….no actual confirmation.

Nauseating example of a predator and his enablers co-opting the language of social justice to deflect from accusations - if not doing so while actively complicit in that. The 'we will be seeking legal action' is the cherry on top of the shit cake here. Fuck them all.

They don’t, but likely have to do it to go on record denying it because admitting it would probably set them up for a lawsuit.

The shitty thing about this is that she is on record outing Jack’s behavior so they could possibly sue her for defamation. Fuck.

Love how ATL describe their culture as "welcoming, healthy, and safe." Soliciting bras from underage girls and making sexual comments to fans is pretty much the opposite of that. Even if the allegations can't be proven, it's well-documented that ATL don't give a fuck about young people feeling healthy and safe.

I believe every bra thrown on stage leads to a donation from the band to breast cancer, but the traditional itself is weird and really needed to be updated. Find a different metaphor.

 

A few years ago a friend of mine disclosed to me that when she was 16/17 - so probably 2010 or so - Jack Barakat invited her and three of her friends back to the band's hotel room after a show.

Then there's - like everyone's highlighted - him hanging the bras of teens on his mic stand, and saying "nice boobs" to girls as young as 14 up until pretty recently.

Sometimes amazes me how ready to believe victims people are until it involves their favourite artist.

i think the whole judging how good or bad the apology / refutal is is something that needs to stop. it doesn't matter if it's the best or worst apology in the world, if someone did what they're being accused of, that's it. i'd rather they just go away than any sort of disingenuous attempt to weasel their way out of it.

 

Is the All Time Low tour going ahead? Surely it can’t. Disgusting, disgusting stuff. These victims need to be heard and believed.
