I had such a good time with Blood Beat when I watched it a couple weeks ago.

Ok just started up Halloween Resurrection on Pluto TV and they only have it in Spanish. Guess I'm getting some comprehension practice in lol

Knocked the OG VHS, The Thing From Another Planet, and Spiral (Shudder) off the list yesterday.

VHS still holds up, although it wasn't nearly as scary as I remember, probably because I watched it by myself during the day this time.

The Thing From Another World was cool, has a crazy fire stunt that I didn't expect from a movie that came out in 1951.

Also really enjoyed Spiral, a quick 90 minute queer supernatural thriller with a few nice scares.

It is. I've been wanting to rewatch it, but don't really feel like seeing Middleditch.

Trick or Trick (86) is much darker (literally) than I usually dig, but the dance scene was fun. Also did Halloween Party (1989) a SOV slasher short complete with bloopers and a Monster Mash lip sync. Starting The Midnight Hour now but I’m fading fast

    Not Big Chungus

Just watched Possession 4K restoration on the big screen. Wild ass movie. I’ve seen that subway scene maybe a dozen times online but seeing it in a theater was claustrophobic as fuck.

That creature design/idea had to inspire Hellraiser, no?

If I recall some of the acting was a bit stiff / unintentionally funny in Last Shift but overall I personally found it pretty enjoyable and better than I expected for having never heard of it. Interesting setting as well.

But I haven’t seen Black Rainbow so I can’t say which is a better one to watch first

Finally watched Pumpkinhead after wanting to see it for a while. Granted didn’t know much about it just heard good things, and I love 80’s/90’s practical effects monster moves. Got giddy when I saw Stan Winston directed it! It was…….not great. Cool concept I guess, and interesting practical effects. Though for the man Winston almost vanilla.

Given recent reports, I'm so in on a sequel.

Starting off the morning with Bride of Chucky.

  22. Fun Size is a cute little comedy about a teen looking for her little brother who wandered off on the way to a Halloween party. I'm unfamiliar with Chelsea Handler and Victoria Justice who play the mother and daughter; it was nice to see Jane Levy, Osric Chau, Riki Lindhome, and Thomases Mann and Middleditch in various supporting roles. It's not very strong thematically or comedically but it's charming enough.

The horror community seems to be re-evaluating Hellfest, so I’ll give it a chance. I’m in the mood for a slaSher.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Watched The Ruins last night for the first time since seeing it in theaters. I saw parallels from Annihilation, The Beach, and Old all in this one film. Seeing it again, I realize I knew every actor besides the blonde. It's worth a watch.
