It is indeed the same Josh Woodard. Same city, same exact birth date, same car, etc.

Surprised the ADTR stuff hasn’t hit Chorus’s news feed. This deserves more coverage/outrage. It’s honestly insane the band has stayed so Silent/covered up everything for so long. The fact that the manslaughter stuff didn’t get more press is sad.

It’s also weird considering the amount of bands that have been shut down for similar allegations within the last five years, that the sexual assault allegations never picked up more traction. Fuck this band and scene so much.

I stopped posting about them at all about a year ago when I was reminded of all the allegations against him. I've debated posting about him leaving, etc., but also just ... don't really wanna post about the band at all anymore.

    So? What’s the accountability?

Sounds like she just dislikes Travis and what he’s doing these days, which…okay, but it’s not exposing him of anything bad and not an accountability issue.

I personally think it’s really tacky to call out a fellow musician in the same general scene as you if they aren’t an abuser or working with abusers/creepy people (yes, Travis does that but that’s not what she brought up).

He has abused multiple women, including someone I know who dated him years ago and was bothering her up until last year

  18. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope they're doing okay.

She’s tough, he would just like text her weird shit and DM her weird stuff through the bands IG accounts and stuff.

While I think his initial response was terrible (why do so many people think making spur of the moment responses is a good idea?), this response seems more thought out and respectful. Not that that excuses him or anything, but more of a clarification. The six pages just give a timeline of their relationship, although it’s from his perspective so whether he’s telling the truth is another story.

We have talked a lot over the years about what the “right” response is from someone accused of sexual assault, and while there may never be one universal approved “correct” response, I think recognizing the other persons feelings and making a call to not shame them is something that is not often done in situations like this

    upload_2021-10-19_20-30-12.jpeg
and willing to hold oneself accountable is also something that is rarely done in these situations (referring to the last sentence in both screenshots)

as well as not victim blaming like he said the cops were doing in the above paragraph.

Maybe these things are the bare minimum in situations like this but we see time and time again how awful men respond in these situations that I think this response is worth more than that not reading meme posted above.

(To clarify I am absolutely not defending Dave here, I do not know him personally, and have no insight into the situation other that what has been shared publicly)
