It’s kind of a mindset if that makes sense? Your brain will adjust.

I like Metroid Dread but I dont think its a good starting point for the genre. There are very few landmarks or interesting rooms and it makes it hard to know where you are going even if you've seen the whole game. I find myself opening the map a lot more in this than most games of its kind.

One of the really nice things about Samus Returns was having that big map displayed on the bottom screen of the 3DS. Though I did beat the first Metroid back in the early 90s without a map, so I can say opening a map often isn’t nearly as frustrating as not having one at all. Lol

Starting Skyward Sword tonight. Should be interesting to play a more "traditional" Zelda game after playing BOTW.

Did they just show new characters and say nothing about it? Lol

they announced it during the Animal Crossing stream?!

That’s what it seemed like, I’m not sure if it was 50 with the game or just 50 for the plan. If that’s with the game then it’s totally fine, I’m sure someone will find out.

That was SO SO SO much more content than I was expecting. Excited to jump back into it.

It looks like the Expansion Pack is $50 per year and includes not just the N64/Genesis games but also free access to the Animal Crossing DLC.

That’s not bad, unless you don’t like animal crossing

Do you keep the dlc if you don’t renew next year though? I’d want to keep the game even if I don’t renew, you know?

I mean, that's great if you own New Horizons but, like, as someone who doesn't that doesn't really make me happy about paying such a high price for the Expansion Pass.

If they included other DLC in there as well, like maybe the Smash Ultimate Fighters Passes, then it would be different.

  21. PeacefulOrca

    Prestigious Prestigious

Welp, it says you need the pass to access the dlc so even I don’t want it lol

  22. Anthony_

It said you could either buy it for $24.99 or just subscribe to the Expansion Pass and get it. You don't need the pass to play the DLC.

But you need to get the online pass to use the dlc then, no? If I don’t want the pass anymore, can I not play the dlc anymore? Does it download separately? I’m confused

  24. Penlab

I'm not paying $50 for Nintendo 64 games. If it was $30, I'd go for it, but that's a steep increase for me.

It's entirely separate. They framed it in the video as an either-or. You can pay for and download the DLC separately.
