This why it's my biggest pet peeve when people call blink a "90's band"

  2. Another example of how time is crazy:
Scott was in Blink for 6 years.
Matt has been in Blink for 6 years.

I played guitar along to Enema Of The State the other day and was depressed to realize that i would be like, in 1999, I played guitar along to an album released in 1977.

  7. Lastnight at the AVA show, Tom said "Mark is cancer free!" and the venue erupted in applause and cheers and it made me tear up like a son of a gun

    Aaaachem!

Ehhhhhhh…. I like Lifeforms better than anything related since neighborhoods and I’m usually a mark guy. I’m even more of an alkaline trio fan than blink but blink with Matt is really, really bad.

I cannot imagine the mental gymnastics Travis went through to get himself back on a plane, but fucking good for him.

Now he can be everywhere at once. Knockout at least 8 features/collabs a day.

Just noticed today “Animals” on Tom’s solo album has a writing credit from Mark & Travis

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

I gotta disagree with LJG on most of that sentiment. Yeah - his playing is ultra flashy and he occasionally overplays live but that comes down to personal taste. MGKs album proves he can reign it in when working with other artists and serve the music. Travis’ main band is also fractured due to health and other main band duties. He could sit on his laurels or continue to pump out music and it’s obvious he chooses the latter. I think it’s rather commendable.

From a drumming standpoint, Travis has terrible technique, but he’s absurdly amazing at everything else.

In the drumming world, compare him to someone like Brooks Wackerman. Basically Travis but with crazy good technique and no tattoos.
