VinSyn put out the collection, so I have high hopes. Pretty good so far!

 

Finished my Final Destination 1-3 run. 3 earns bonus points for Mary Elizabeth Winstead. 1 maintains the most ominous opening scene. But 2?…this has to be my favorite. The car wreck scene is one of the best in all of cinema imo.

 

I absolutely love it so far!

 

Another Fall, another year for me to defend New Nightmare.

Ma is great. One of my favorite movies to put on in the background.

 

Definitely agree with skipping 4, but 5 rules! Definitely recommend adding that one at least

 

New Nightmare rules. The last time we watched it there was an earthquake like 20 minutes after it ended and we freaked the fuck out.

 

Question for the thread - what “topic” of horror freaks you out the most? Not like, which category of horror movie do you like best, but what legit creeps you out in real life, if anything?

It’s not bad. I like the reveal and all, but it just doesn’t live up to the first 3 for me.

Possessed people (or creepy kids) crawling, running really fast, crawling on walls, creepy running (see: Malignant) haha

Anybody else a fan of Trick R Treat?

 

Love Trick R Treat. Pacing is a little weird at times, but ultimately it does the trick.

 

Religious horror. Anything that has to do with demons or Catholicism or faith... scares the shit out of me.

 

Honestly…it’s what I believe in the least that freaks me out the most. Religious based horror. Religion in and of itself freaks me out, but when the dark(er) side of that world is brought into a story?..keeps me awake at night.

 

Malignant fucking ruled.

Are you talking about Wes Craven's New Nightmare? If so, why would you need to defend what is clearly utter brilliance?

 

yeah it's a very respectable 3rd to OG and Dream Warriors. no shame in taking the bronze with company like that

Couldn't sleep. Started House of Wax at 2am. Wasn't into the first thirty minutes but it just kept getting better.

This just makes Paris Hilton in Supernatural that much funnier.
