Got the White OLED finally. It feels like it’s more better quality than the switch when it comes to hardware. Like it’s more firm and compact.

 

Also picked up the OLED switch. Wanted to upgrade from my original day 1 model and am glad I did.

 

2 hours into Dread, it’s so fun I don’t want to stop playing

 

Not sure how far into Dread I am, based on the remaining EMMI counter, Im about 2 thirds through? But it has only gotten better. Wasnt sure how I was feeling but now I am pretty sucked in.

 

I've played Dread for about 5 hours today I think.

 

came home from writing music last night and beat the boss I was stuck at for days on my 2nd try.

I slept well

 

Beat Link’s Awakening last night, and I’m ready for Dread.

Was honestly pretty challenging at times with just the backtracking, and the later dungeons. Had to look up guides several times.

 

Some of the things you have to do in that game are so random, no idea how I finished it in the nineties as a kid

 

Can’t say enough good things about the level design in Dread. So many amazing shortcuts/teleporters that open up as you get the upgrades that it always feels like you’re being subtly pointed in the right direction. I’ve experienced very little “backtracking” so far because the levels just open themselves up in the perfect way.

 

Yeah i've been playing a ton of metroidvanias lately and Dread's level design, controls, boss fights are all so damn smooth and outperform everything else i've played. Truly the ace standard still for this genre.

 

I have a feeling I just reached this boss.

Nope, lol. Pink goop laser. Ended up being not as bad as he initially looked.

Bosses in this game are sooo good.

My dang preorder is still delayed. I want to play this game so bad! Finished Samus Returns this morning, guess I’ll get started on Super Metroid.

 

took me forever too and today I watched my best friend beat him on his first try without even breaking a sweat.

yeah don't feel too great about my gamer cred rn.

 

Made it to the final boss. Only tried once but it seems like a doozy.

And boy, the story in this one does some things. Excited to see more reactions.

 

Dread rules

 

Just finished Dread, 10/10 and the Game of the Year no question

Final playtime was 8 glorious hours and 7 glorious minutes. I didn’t go through the whole map and collect all the missile/energy/power bomb tanks though.
