How high up do we think Eve6 would land on an actual poster?

 

my guess is that if they were on the 2021 poster, they could have taken Saves the Day old spot. if im being more generous and taking their current social media popularity into tangible consideration, possibly slot them between bosstones and k.flay

 

Slotting them in for Saves the Day would have made sense. Arguably, I could also see them between Pup and Andrew W.K. too.

But I doubt they'd be any higher than that, social media hype or no. Not unless they have something that truly goes viral. At this point, it's a really funny thing to a very targeted demographic. At least that's what it seems to me. And that's not a slight because... I'm very much in that demo.

A couple Red Hot Chili Peppers tour dates leaked today and it appears that The Strokes are opening. Also looks like it’ll be a fall tour, so it looks like we can already count The Strokes out :(

 

To quote Powerman 5000: "This is what it's like when worlds collide."

We'll have to keep an eye on the dates. If Chicago conspicuously has a Chicago date with "* No Strokes" or something, they may still be in the mix. I'm guessing that won't be the case but... I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and everyone else who'd want them as #3!

 

Now I’ve heard that The Strokes won’t be on all dates of that Chili Peppers tour. So maybe they’re back in play? We’ll see!

One of the members of Botch confirmed that it is just to re-release their catalog and that they are not reuniting. The digital versions dropped and then vinyl next year.

I was talking with a friend about Plain White Ts and just of curiosity I checked if they have played Riot before and was surprised they havent, specially because they are from the Chicago suburbs.

I think they would be a fun band to see at Riot, maybe on a 30 minutes set like 3Oh!3

We live in the strangest timeline

 

and the twitter back and forths are fast and furious today. between all the LJG stuff a while back talking up op ivy big time, and now all this, you have to sort of wonder if its all a meme, or maybe, just maybe, somethign that is picking up actual steam

Dinosaur Jr. rescheduled their fall 2021 tour dates to fall 2022. No Chicago dates and it appears that September 16th is open… although Texas dates follow the next day. So who knows?…

 

My guess is they'll just fly to Texas after Riot.

 

so bummed. Was supposed to see Radkey open for Local H in a teeny tiny club in a few days but Both guys in Local H tested positive so the next 2 weeks of the tour are canceled. trying to will 'Radkey headlining the show' into existence with a local opener or something, but im just one man.
