- Simulation swarm is fucking unbelievable.
- The playfulness of some of the lyrics from the new ones really wowed me and caught me off guard.
- masterpiece with those four part harmonies in the “old stars” part literally moved me to tears twice
- black diamonds full band really knocked me on my butt too

Looks like they are releasing Change this week. Not sure why they chose another folk song instead of a heavier one.

FWIW, Kurt Vile and Waxahatchee share the same management company so the comment seems legit

 

Based on this info my guess is album 1 in early 2022 and album 2 in the summer/fall with a fall tour planned that leads into 2023, like what happened with UFOF/Two Hands.

Gahhh I NEED them to release Simulation Swarm but whatever. Change is the best of the folkier songs we've heard imo so still excited.

Really gives credence to the two albums theory because everything they've released so far fits together, maybe the heavy stuff is for the second record kinda like with UFOF/TH

This is huge!! Partially worried about quality vs quantity but also really excited to get 40 songs next year. When they did 4 recording sessions I was hoping that meant 4 albums but it seemed like a stretch. Of course they'd one-up themselves and do this.

Can't wait to see how they divide these up. If it weren't for Little Things, I would have guessed double LP #1 was going to be entirely folk/country.

 

Haha. This would be insane. Probably why they’ve been so generous with playing new material and releasing singles. They got a billion songs.

 

That ffm link to Change now includes a line for the official store and the button says 'Pre-Order' instead of 'Go To'. Please mean something, I don't want to wait another month
