I feel like Hyperview is more interesting and varied album than Peripheral Vision. Only use this comparison because the two were compared frequently upon release. I do like both, to varying extents

Superheaven, Turnover, and TF's albums came around the same year. Was Chrome is Ours bad? rarely gets mentioned.

 

Jar is one of my favorite albums, really hits hard and I think Yip did a great job. I like 3-4 songs on Ours is Chrome but I didn't love it. I feel like it killed some of their momentum too, sadly

 

oh just thought of another record where the first song is great and the rest is bad. bayside - vacancy, first song is great every song after is just another bayside song
