Great nostalgia, terrible in 2021

 

Pokémon Stadium, the first Smash Bros, Banjo-Kazooie, Goldeneye, Pokémon Snap, Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Paper Mario and Ocarina of Time. All great games that are still fun today.

 

Feels like an elaborate DLC. I think it took me about a week to fully complete. That’s me playing after work in a full work week though.

Personally, I love DK64, and yet I also completely understand the criticism people give it, because it was absolutely Rare taking their formula to its ultimate conclusion. It was extremely exhausting to 100%.

 

Man, give me Blast Corps. That's a gem that nobody ever talks about.

 

I wouldn't say nobody, as I see that game frequently come up when people talk about underrated gems on the system. Although at what point a game can be frequently talked about and still be underrated is open for debate.

While we're talking about games of this ilk, (waves to Mischief Makers and Rocket: Robot On Wheels).

 

I never played the main game, just the mini games. The peanut gun game was great though.

 

I understand that DK64 is bad, but I think it is a legitimately great game for kids. It just has so much in it. Was my first 3D game and it kept me occupied for endless amounts of time. Took me 8 years to get all the bananas.

 

Bad is a strong word that should be reserved for things are legitimately bad.
