God, they came out of the gates strong with this. Great tune. The production is fantastic, wonder who did it. Reminds me of their stuff with Sprinkle. Wasn’t highly anticipating anything from them, but I am now.

They didn’t feel much like taking any prisoners with the comeback single lol. Not sure I’m a huge fan but man it’s nice to hear these guys again. One of my favorite groups growing up.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

lol yeah I had this thought too, it might be "The Resistance" or "Dissenter" on the album lmao

either way band is consistent is hell, whatever they give us will be great

This to me feels like a shining example of the "creator economy," i.e. artists are increasingly free to create the music they like vs. music that will get radio play. Radio (at least as far as indie/alt goes) seems basically irrelevant now that we all discover music via the internet.

This feels a lot like recent Thrice to me, grungy and dark. The fact that this is the same band that made New Surrender or Dark is the Way - in my mind, two very mainstream pop-friendly albums - is absolutely blowing my mind.

This sounds great, definitely a different mix from the livestream premiere. Stephen’s voice sounds awesome, loving the direction they’re going

Ready for tonight's setlist to show up...what does 2021 Anberlin play after playing every song live for the last year.

    heaven knows what i am

It's a cool song, but not really what I (selfishly) want from Anberlin.

Best parts for me were the drumming and second half of the bridge. I don’t feel blown away but it’s a lovely entry into the discog and the record should be stellar.

"I am the patron saint of lost causes"

that would actually be so cool of a record name

So based off the two songs, this album will in all likelihood be their heaviest to date :)

Probably in the minority but the new song doesn’t do anything for me. I’m sure it was intended but everything sounds very muddy especially the vocals.

Last 5 songs would've slayed me, killer setlist.

I saw the open for The Maine and they blew me away. One of the best live voices I've ever heard in any genre. I instally went and got their catalogue after the show. Totally underrated band!

Two Graves is so good. This is definitely the heaviest song they've written, right? Love this direction for them.
