i think it's the latter. one of those very dated "these were lyrics in the early 00s" lines.

 

Is that album highly regarded? Mr. Brightside is classic idk about the rest

 

its a great song but brandon flowers isnt exactly lyrically impressive regardless

 

I do like Jenny Was a Friend of Mine and Change Your Mind too

theres also albums like the new letlive or only by the night by kings of leon where literally the only good song is the first track. THATS frontloaded

 

front loaded isn't necessarily a bad thing, The Joshua Tree is front loaded and it's one of my favorites

 

There are some awesome songs in the back half but they're growers, as opposed to the skyscraping hit singles that open it

 

Always annoys me when bands only release tracks at the beginnings of albums as singles

 

I saw Abandon Kansas play that song in a small little venue in WI, and for whatever reason they totally changed my tune on the song.

 

Idk. I feel like for a while it was all about sam's town but hot fuss is the only one I hear about anymore

 

I have a soft spot for Smile Like You Mean It but otherwise I'm not a fan of them. I saw them play a main stage slot at a festival in 2005 and they were terrible. They were way out of their depth.

 

Four Year Strong - In Some Way, Shape, or Form.

I LOVE this album. I enjoy their other stuff, but this album kinda got me more into the band. It gave me the feels that Sum 41's - Chuck gave me. IDK why.

 

I like that album. I think it's underrated.

 

Lol I remember the roast of FYS that album created. Good times

 

MeWithoutYou A->B Life is one of MwY's best album

 

Idk of I'd go that far, but I did fond it really underrated when it came out. I was happy they branched out a little bit and thought they did well with the sound they had (which probably wasn't the best direction to take, judging by the overall fan reactions). The other albums, while I love them, do suffer from every song sounding pretty much the same.

 

I like Bring Me The Horizon.

 

Hell, I'd say The Desired Effect is Brandon Flowers best work. But then again, most artists don't release something thinking it'll be their worst work so I supposed you could say it had the....desired effect.

I really liked that album that broke them (can't remember the name, the one with the girl holdin her guts) but listening back I cringe at it.

Still wondering what the secret on the tip of of his tongue was, lol.

Suicide Season. Not a fan of that one. I don't like their first two albums at all. Newer stuff is catchy and I enjoy it a lot more.

 

Count Your Blessings has Pray for Plagues and Off The Heezay the rest is disposable.

Suicide Season is a mixed bag; title track is one of their best. TIAHBMISI.TIAHLKIAS and Sempiternal are legitimiately good to great records.

That's The Spirit is boring, derivative trash.
