A. Gotta go with Leviathan. Ashes of the Wake is still during the good period of Lamb of God for me, both Leviathan changed how I look at music and was a gateway album to most of the metal I listen to nowadays. Still a hard choice.

My stance anymore is that I for sure drop bands if I happen to learn they have garbo affiliations but even my Jewish ass lacks the energy anymore to actively try to keep tabs on who said what, who's touring with who, etc. There was a time where I tried to watch every band I listened to like a hawk and between that and leftist metal groups eating themselves and becoming fruitless rumor mills (with safe bands getting labelled as sketchy, and sketchy bands getting labelled as safe) and getting exhausted with shit, I just couldn't anymore.

TL;DR I drop a band like a hot potato when I hear they think Hitler is tight but I don't have the energy to do Metal Archives research and cross-reference who played live for who in 100 different bands anymore.

the gothic elements work really well & the production is truly excellent

& of course the songwriting is v interesting balancing atmosphere & intensity

 

I giggled the entire time listening to this trying to think of what his vocals remind me of. My conclusion: that last little bit of water before it goes down the drain.
