I mean, after reading both statements completely, is there not some grey area here? It sounds like it was an unhealthy relationship for both parties, and it’s better that they are out of each other’s lives.

Does Alexis not say the same about her DID causing issues with how she has treated others? I don't think Ryland mentioning that is surprising considering what I understand of Alexis's post.

 

Uh, she's allowed to talk about how she perceives her own mental illness has affected her life and the people around her. He is most definitely not.
