I saw Nile on a relapse tour years ago. It was great. During their set they called Philly Metaldelphia

 

Nile has always been a band that I could never get into for some reason. They have everything I typically like in a band, but I just can't seem to get them to stick.

New Our Place of Worship is Silence album. Death metal FFO Of Feather and Bone and Infernal Coil.

One of my favorite deathgrind bands, Skullshitter, also dropped a live studio session today on their bandcamp. Ended up getting that tape immediately. FFO Impetigo, Repulsion, Bleeding Out

 

I don't know, I'll take the chance at missing out on some good metal if it means I don't have to see a whole feed of posts like that. Yeesh.

I think we all have a band like that or two. See: myself with Blood Incantation and Ulcerate. That said, I've developed a new appreciation for the depth of death metal again in the past few months so it might be time for me to re-try those bands. Third or fourth time's the charm or some shit.

 

How could anyone not like "Masturbating the War God" by Nile tho? It's such a jam

damn I listen to hidden history of the human race more than almost any other death metal record in my library

 

Have never been able to get into Jinjer but I think this record is a step up for them.

Phinehas is pretty damn sick and reminds me of early AILD albums.
