“I didn’t go to the funeral
Heard you cry on the phone
    Your voice is so beautiful
Now I have to let it go”

    I’m fine

  2. So happy to see the positive reception it's getting so far. Violent Delights is a song of the year contender for me, I'm obsessed with that beat.

On what’s probably my fifth listen.

I noted that Lauren included Now, Now on her list of influences. I can hear how Now, Now influenced her writing on this album. This is, lyrically, her strongest writing of her career and it’s amazing.

Yeah there's some pretty heavy lyrical content on here. Playing a big part in why it's connecting with me so much

Same. Another one of those that’s hitting at a very pertinent point in my life.

I'm really liking this. The albums since Bones didn't do it for me but this is going to be in my rotation for a while, I can already tell.

I've been a fairly casual fan of Chvrches, but I have to say...I feel like this is obviously their best album yet. "Nightmares",....damn, when that chorus drops...so good.

I liked the original "Good Girls" track, but I switched it out with the John Carpenter remix version. Hits a little harder in the flow of the album, imo,..stands out a little more with the textured synths on that version also.

I, also, changed "How To Not Drown" to the Robert Smith remix of that track. That's quite a big change for the flow of the album but I love it! You've got these 4 bangers....and then it's this atmospheric, slow, vibe-y, experimental, interlude track before you go into the second half of the album. Love the flow of the album like this.

"Better If You Dont" feels perfect as a closer track for this.

Didn't care for Love Is Dead at all but this is really solid, makes me emotional

God DAMN this was worth the wait and avoiding the leak.

That last huge buildup to the final chorus of “Nightmares” sends me - especially when the last vocoder stuff comes on. That is going to hit like a tidal wave live.

This AND Halsey AND Big Red Machine is absolutely insane. 3 amazing records.

Might be too soon to say, but this might be Chvrches best album. Definitely a massive return to form after LID.

I don't know, first listen didn't really grab me. I'll spend more time with it, but I really hope I'm not drifting away from them because I really adore those first two albums.

Wow I like this so much more than I was expecting, given I wasn't huge on the first couple singles. Really great album.

    The rivalry is back on

Violent Delights and Nightmares are early highlights. Always love it when my immediate response is “dang the pre-release singles aren’t even the best things on here”

I think HNTD works way better in sequence on the record than it did as a single.

Final Girl got an audible "wow" from me. Feels like she's been needing to sing that song for a while now

My first listen of this album was very good, especially after LID and some questionable single choices.

    hey you lil piss baby

This is so good. Not quite sure if I’d put it up there with their first two yet but it’s a stunning return. Even the two singles I wasn’t huge on really pop in the context of the record. Feels great to hear them really play to their strengths again.

EASILY their best album imo. Wall to wall bangers. Think HNTD is still my favorite but it’s like a five way tie for second.
