On the one hand, I fully believe it's only logical for them to be the first mutant introduced in the MCU. On the other hand, I have a hard time believing it's going to happen in a Doctor Strange movie, unless it's a very small cameo, maybe even a post-credits scene.

 

Rumors are saying that it will lead to Charles eventually leading a multiverse Illuminati to try to stop scarlet witch

We do know for fact that Marvel approached Patrick Stewart to reprise his role but he turned it down. With insiders talking about Marvel wanting Hugh since at least late 2019 I don’t find this to be that unbelievable.

 

I just find it hard to believe that they actually thought they could convince Hugh Jackman to end his successful run that way

 

It does seem like a lackluster offer. Going out the way he did in Logan is a lot better than going out in a small fight against Wanda.

I was personally hoping that Marvel had offered him a deal to play a different character.

 

So who’s playing him?

 

The only way I ever see Hugh coming back is in a Wolverine vs Hulk film or a small role in Avengers 5 or Secret Wars.

 

It's not anything official right now. As far as I'm concerned, it's just a twinkle in the eye of someone's fever dream.

 

Xavier or Wolverine?

Xavier would probably be McAvoy because Stewert already told the world that he turned down Feige’s offer to return.

I totally get Spider-man is going to be a giant gimmick, but that’s only fine if you do it once. Just cast the roles and bank on the future and not just rehash FOX shit.

 

I refuse to watch this if Nic Cage isn't in it.
