almost done with the first season of Boardwalk Empire and Richard Harrow is easily my favorite character. was worried that a show based in the 20's would end up boring me after a few episodes but I'm pretty into it so far

 

S2, and 3 are so good

 

Also finally watching You're The Worst. Yeah this is sooooo great, and worthy of all the praise.

 

I remember Richard Harrow as such a cool mysterious character.

 

Any of y’all ever try The Knick, on HBO Max now? Definitely one of the most incredible shows to come out years ago to tons of critical acclaim but almost no audience. Highly recommend to anyone who isn’t squeamish

I hated the knick, I think I stopped after like, 2 episodes. Just completely and utterly not my thing

 

Everyone should be watching Reservations Dogs. It's so fucking funny, the cast and writing are great.

 

The Knick rules and Barry Jenkins is helming s3, doesn’t get much better than Soderbergh to Jenkins

 

Never got around to the Knick. Maybe I will now. Also need to watch reservation dogs.

 

The Knick is just simply amazing, the only thing I will say is that the surgery scenes can get pretty graphic

 

I should be fine as my gf constantly watches surgery shows and I’ll look up and see someone getting a tumor or whatever removed lol

 

The Chair was fantastic. The comedy was great. Good social commentary too.

Another show I'm not sure if is streaming, but Quarry on Cinemax was superb. It only lasted one season, but the one season we do have is wow.

Finished The White Lotus last night. Masterful work. Extremely relevant and so much is said without being said. Also shockingly funny. I can’t wait to watch again.

 

I’ve actually been working my way through The Knick slowly over the past couple months. Almost done with S2. Fantastic show.

Warrior (another Cinemax original) is also great. So glad HBO picked it up for another season.

 

If you haven't watched Quarry, you need to get on that after you finish The Knick.

 

That bob ross doc was brutal

Didn’t know melissa mccarthy produced it, she sucks, but it was still really good and I’m glad a big streamer put it out.

 

Why does Melissa McCarthy suck?

 

She apologized and tried to make up for it but it still really sucked that it happened. Of course, every right wing grifter was furious that she apologized.

 

Quarry was dark but awesome for sure

 

It sounds like she assumed it was an anti-sex trafficking charity, like they say they are, but didn’t look into who the shitty founder is. And then she learned and apologized for it. I don’t think this makes her suck. Her cousin actually does suck though. So at first I thought you were just getting their names confused. Haha.
