I’d say it gets good in the second-to-last and last episode of that season, then s7 is generally one of the best.

“The Walking Dead” lost me after Glen fell off the trailer and into the horde of zombies only to not die.

It’s crazy how people lost their minds on social media over that fakeout death and Brian from “Family Guy” “dying.” Could not imagine a show on right now that could elicit such a reaction.

The Negan cliffhanger killed TWD for me. I was so nervous that episode and they flake on the end, guess I watched maybe most of the next season and a half. But yeah even before that the continuous fake out deaths starting with Glen wore super thin

The Whisper arc was really good. I never watched the bonus episodes in S10. But I'm excited to see where this ends.

I only watched the pilot back when it originally aired but read the entire comic series last and it was really good

I sorta passively quit TWD when I thought they finally got rid of a terrible character, only to bring them back and do a whole flashback episode for them. Just put that episode off for so long that I was no longer watching the show.

For the most part TWD has been an absolute chore for like five straight seasons. Shame on me for still watching but it’s one of those things where I watched for so long, I feel stupid quitting now. I haven’t watched the bonus episodes and don’t plan to. I will say the seasons following the time jump have been more tolerable, but I don’t really enjoy the show.

the first season is flawless as a stand-alone miniseries.

I bailed at the second episode of season four, I think, and that even felt too far

This was me until Rick died and it created a good place in my mind to bow out. Not even sure how much longer it’s gone since then but I’m thankful I was able to stop even it was multiple seasons too late.

Okay so I binged a lot of the newest season on Netflix. Daryl is 100% the saving grace of the show now. Some great moments with him and Carol, but even she had some real dumb moments.

Also, I had no idea that Beta was Opie!!!!!!

First miniseries / season was pretty great.

I remember season 2 mostly because of how they never left the farm because they had no budget (which seemed odd since it was such a hit but maybe they filmed most of it before AMC aired season 1 / realized it was a hit? Idk) and reading on forums how pissed off everyone was at how slow it was dragging out.

Cant remember when season 2 came out but it reminds now, looking back at it, of the online presence of talking about GOT was and how usually the discussion was at least half the fun if not more of following along, which is saying something because season 2 of TWD was before online social media and such really kicked off if I’m remembering right.

Maggie’s return seems real abrupt. Tbh I completely missed her leaving so that holds zero weight with me lol. Ice picks dude is cool though.

Was weird reading the comics after I saw four seasons of the show and seeing that they literally spend only a day and a half at the farm in the comics lol

Didn't they cut the budget AND add more episodes for the second season?
