Tom Lorde-Alge actually did a full mixing seminar for "The Adventure" on NailTheMix a few months ago, and you can still find the raw multi-tracks if you do a little looking around.

Not related to anything being discussed here, but today I was thinking about the fact that it is a shame that the "pop punk revival" kicked into high gear in the zeitgeist one year after NINE came out. Personally, I think blink should re-release "I Really Wish I Hated You," make it the Miley version and give that song the chance to become the monster mega hit it deserved to be. They're gonna be inactive for the foreseeable future, so why not put out a song that most people wouldn't even know had already been released, make an animated video like All Time Low did for "Monsters," keep their name in people's minds and take over again. In this climate, now that the Olivia Rodrigo's, MGK's, jxdn's and willow's of the world have brought pop punk back to pop radio, I think that song would be ginormous. Thoughts?

100% agree.Miley version is way better too.

Everything about the roll out and promotion of NINE was extremely weird. Not ever releasing the Miley version which I agree is better was another missed opportunity. Who knows maybe they were saving it for the collabs EP that they talked about forever but never followed through with.

I liked how Nine was about Blink and not a bunch of guests. I was expecting that companion sort of EP to come out sometime after and have a bunch of features, and although I was less excited for it it still would have probably been pretty good too

  12. I’m about to listen to Mark’s interview with Dave Grohl. I hope Dave convinces Mark to do 3 hour Blink shows haha.

I much prefer the one and half our sets that Blink does than the marathons that some bands like to do. Mark is right, one hour and an half is the perfect concert length

  14. It results in a setlist that is 90% singles and rarely changes outside of a few songs. I realize this is antithetical to what Mark believes a Blink show should be, but I would love to see more deep cuts.

Yeah I am no longer excited to see blink live unless there's a major change to the setlists. New albums always make me happy because they play some new stuff outside of the singles during those tours but I am so tried of the set lists being nearly identical from year to year.

    Things have changed.

Big singles they MUST play every night:
    Feeling This
    I Miss You
    All The Small Things
    What's My Age Again
    First Date
    The Rock Show
    Dammit
    Bored to Death

That leaves a LOT of runway for other songs to make it into the set. The Vegas shows were decent in terms of rotating other stuff in there, but there are still options to go deeper while giving casual listeners the hits they came for.

    Are You Watching Closely?

I wouldn't be mad if they didn't play any of those songs love again tbh

Mutt should probably be on there just because of how iconic that American Pie scene is haha

Singles-heavy tours are fine if you mix in anniversary full-album tours. Cover the deep cuts that way

He can play other songs and still be one hour and an half.

Nobody is making them play First Date.

100%. I know they'll never not play them but when I go see blink these days, I could care less if I hear WMAA, Small Things, First Date and Rock Show. I did respect how many songs they worked into the setlist throughout the California tour so I hope that in the future they take a similar approach and go deep.

They didn't play Feeling This on the last tour and I was pretty bummed

Blink isn't that deep of a band to get by not playing singles. Sorry guys

    Things have changed.

I think devoting 1/3 or even 1/2 of the setlist to standard singles is fine. The redundancy comes when the other non-singles never change.
