How is May's era so low! The dude has been such trash all year. So fucking bad.

I can't fuckinf believe how fast this team came undone. I think that's the big shocker here. From kinda playing decent ball, cruising...felt like an 87/88 win team, and it might have been enough but maybe not in the end

alright so i guess lets start talking about offseason moves.

 

How far we go in the playoffs I think will depend on how we do the next 10 games. We have 3 left with Oakland then go to Tampa and Toronto. Then we have a stretch in September where we play Boston and Oakland back to back. Currently the Sox are 17-20 against teams above 500

 

Lock up Baez. 10 years, $350 million.

Orioles 1-13 in the month of August .... now 41 games below .500.

They've given up 9 or more runs EIGHT Times this month, and a -77 run differential during the current 12 game losing streak, which ties an MLB record.

So...... I think it's time to just call up Adley Rutschman and some of the prospects and just get it over with? The guys currently on the squad (With the exception of probably Mullins and maybe Mancini) cannot even be trying anymore.

 

Also, go Rays. Lol how fun are they to watch right now?

Although I just cannot fathom how deep they can go with the pitching situation as it currently is. Just does not seem sustainable, sadly.

 

They are truly dreadful right now. Closing in on Arizona for that #1 pick next year (so hard to believe there's a team with a worse record so far).

That being said there's no way they call up Rutschman and their other top prospects this year and start their service clocks. Earliest we'll see any of them is next season after the O's have gained another year of control.

If anything I think their failure to develop pretty much any of their current major league players (including guys that were supposed to be part of the next wave of talent like Akin and Kremer) has pushed their timeline for contention out further, so they might be more motivated to slow play their major prospects.

But yeah the pitching development continues to be absolutely horrendous/non-existent.

Haha yeah. It's bad. Alex Wells hasn't been too impressive either, but very small sample size for him so far. Looks like Bruce Zimmermann could end up being the best of this batch of arms, which I wouldn't have anticipated.

Also disappointed by Santander and Stewart, though they've both showed some flashes lately. Just very few success stories at the major league level this year. I guess that's how you end up 40 games under haha

 

joke will be on you when he's batting .211 and has 7 HRs by the all star break

my days off.. if I counted the days correctly Cole would pitch Tuesday but Ohtani Monday unfortunately. But hopefully they get lined up for one of these 2 days lol
