I imagine every horrible situation is different for each person but I’m super bummed at the idea of someone having to try and remember what happened 50+ years ago, or remembering it every day for 50+ years and not being able to do anything about it (if I’m reading these posts correctly) so that when they can say something they have the information available. That sucks.

 

It’s possible Bob Dylan is guilty, but at the risk of defending a pedophile, there’s a few things that just don’t add up. Check out the Dylan subreddit where some people have pieced together some pretty thorough timelines of what he was doing in April and May of 65. Dylan’s life was HEAVILY documented during this time, usually having a film crew with him, and he just wasn’t in New York during that time period.

If Dylan was grooming 12 year olds he belongs in a special circle of hell, but at this point it seems unlikely, at least in this case.

He’s not defending Dylan or even saying that she’s lying. All that he’s stating is one side of the story that he feels like is applicable. I 100% believe the victim but I don’t think we should be going at this guy for just looking at the situation in different light.

 

That user is discrediting the allegations that Dylan sexually abused a minor because some Redditers, in 2021, "pieced together a timeline". That's not reasonable!

 

Again I don’t buy the whole timeline BS and all of that. He should be fully held accountable. All I’m saying is that OP was just pointing out something that he thought was relevant to this, and we just shouldn’t all go after him cause we disagree is all.

 

I'm just of the opinion that the phrase "at the risk of defending a pedophile" should always be followed by considering if what you're typing is helpful or if there's at least a better way of presenting any information you're adding to the conversation.
