At this point, I'm imagining it's pretty much a requirement to be vaxxed with regular testing to do any higher level tour given the logistics and the money involved. Especially if you're touring internationally.

Perhaps someone more knowledged can chime in here, but this feels like a huge misread of the situation. I commented that per the New Yorker article the survivor implied that they were not comfortable with Pinegrove's return, which I was then told that I was putting words in the survivors mouth (which, I was basing my response on what folks in here have said, but this still feels like a misread of the situation).

 

I’ll never understand what possess artists to tweet stuff like that, I get that that band are probably nobodies but why go out of your way to tweet some stuff you know for a fact is guaranteed to alienate people that might otherwise support you? And for what? To make a bad joke? To show how purposefully obtuse you can be? Like I guess if somebody has dipshit views I’d rather be clued in, but fuck man like why not just keep it to yourself

 

For whatever reason that band has committed to maintaining a super abrasive, edgelord persona. They’re talented and add some important POC representation to the DIY scene but god they are annoying. I’ll even admit that the Pinegrove situation has a bit more nuance than some other issues of accountability but that tweet is 100% for the purposes of getting people riled up and nothing else.

I don’t think that’s actually Graduating Life, the account does not follow Mom Jeans or any of that crew and has a recent tweet shitting on Mom Jeans. Regardless, they seem like a musician in the scene so it still sucks.
