eh the throw was good and he just missed the tag, i'm not angry about it, familia just comes out throwing meatballs every night. i don't know why he's still around.

 

I picked up the marlins starting pitcher for today's game. This is where my confidence for this team is right now :(

 

the team is just a complete flat tire right now. this is how bad i thought it was going to be back in like may/june and they weathered that storm, but they're not surviving this one. there just isnt any fight in them. they dont even look as happy/excited as they did in april/may. you can tell the injuries are just absolutely deflating but they've gotta have more fight.

that said, i still believe the division is theirs to lose. and theyre losing it

Looking forward to this upcoming Phillies Mets series that’s either going to make me uncharacteristically happy about baseball or completely ruin my week next week

 

Whats scary about the Mets right now is we have nothing to hang our hats on. Its one thing if lkke...the offense sucks but our pitching is giving us gems....or our pitching socks but offense is on all cylinders...or just the pen socks



Everything is average or below average at the same time. Scary times.

 

Whatever happened to Ike Davis and Lucas Duda

 

Duda bounced around a few different clubs until 2019 and hasnt played since, Davis did the same but stopped playing in 2017. Davis played for the Israeli team for a bit too in the world baseball classic iirc.

 

Gary Sanchez is now out with COVID.

 

I’m sure yaz will be right behind him

 

Loved Lucas Duda. Was my favorite Met on the 2015 World Series run roster.

Fun player to watch with tons of power but struck out a bit too much

 

Yeah i really enjoyed Duda but he was the definition of streaky. Unwatchable when he was in a slump but he was the best player on the team when he was hot. I hate that fans will mostly remember him for the Game 5 throw.
