I wish Adam Green made more movies. Feels like he disappears from film and works on his episodic projects for years. I'm assuming he has stuff that is falling through or pushing out, but man it would be nice to see more from him.

 

I also stopped listening to his podcast which I followed pretty consistently for a while. Just felt like he and Joe complained about the industry and how their listeners were freeloaders more than anything.

 

I will say that I have found more respect and open-mindedness in this thread than many others on this site and for that reason I keep coming back here I think. You are all pretty lovely people.

 

For the record, all of my posts condemning people for not liking AQP2 were in good fun. I love this thread.

I am so excited for the fall that it almost hurts. Having a hard time lately getting myself to sit down and watch any movies and I'm chalking it up to the heat and long days. Need some cooler temps and darkness. Also, still thinking about Eden Lake from days ago sheesh.

I love fall but really hate the whole getting dark early thing. Sends me into complete weirdness.

Speaking of loving the dark…I rewatched 30 Days of Night for the first time since 07 and it’s wayyyy better than I remembered.

 

I cape for that movie! The ending was a bit eh for me but didn't cancel out the rest of the movie which I greatly enjoy

 

It’s been a long time since I’ve watched it too, but something about the CGI of Hartnett wasting away at the end always stuck with me. Melissa George is a good scream queen - she should have been in more horror flicks.

 

any other hidden gems on Hulu?

 

Also I mention this periodically but can we talk about how the moral of Lights Out is kind of that suicide IS the answer? It's so bizarre and I actually liked it up until that point but like what a weird message to send

Love 30 Days of Night. Is the sequel worth watching?

@Aaron Mook haven't seen the sequel, and based on the things I’ve read,I’ll probably keep it that way.

 

Pet Sematary 2 gets such a bad rap. Watching now and Clancy Browns characters still as brutal as ever. The atmosphere has me yearning for fall. (Minus the early darkness bs)

 

That dirt bike wheel death in Pet Sematary 2 is something that sticks with you forever.

 

Just finished the empty man. Here is a list of all the movies I noticed particular themes from:

Seven, Fight Club and /orThe Dark Knight, Hereditary, Smokin’ Aces, The Kill List, The Ring, and one or two more I’m drawing a blank on at the moment. That being said, I did still enjoy it but do agree that it ran on longer than it should.

EDIT: Mostly certain scenes are reminded me of the other movies, not necessarily themes.

 

Yes!!! I vividly remember having nightmares about that specific scene when I was a kid.
