Silverstein got upgraded from 600 to 1400 cap venue in Portland. Crazy that they sold out the Hawthorne so quickly. That’s never happened before. I was bummed I couldn’t get a ticket so this is great. Really happy to see their 20th anniversary tour do so well after it’s been postponed three times.

I was thinking the same thing. The Palladium also feels pretty small for them. I’d think they would play the Shrine or somewhere else

And Porter Robinson too, which is the show I might go even tho I really want to go to AVA

I already have tickets to Ava so that’s what I’m going to

I mean they are still playing 5k cap. I wouldn’t exactly call that a fall off

EDIT: not a fan of this band or scumbags, just an observation

I wouldn’t say they fell off hard. The new album charted comparable to every album besides Bad Vibrations and one of the singles is doing very well on radio. Sucks because this band doesn’t deserve the platform, but they also have a fanbase that gives zero shits about the allegations.

Today Cuomo said he’s urging all businesses and event venues to be for vaccinated only. However, I don’t know if there’s a plan to incentivize businesses / venues to do that.

All of this government posturing without putting any teeth behind these mandates is just an exercise in theatre. It's one thing to be employed by these entities and actually be subjected to weekly tests and another thing. It's another thing to put the onus on the venue by just providing strong suggestions.

Real props to the venues who are actually going through the stress of being vaxx only right now because that's something I wouldn't want to deal with as an owner or an employee. Sigh.

Yeah, the Hulu stream actually sucked in comparison, because in previous years the stream was on YouTube and you could watch all 3 stages live all day long

I wonder if a lot of businesses are hesitant to make entry vax only not so much out of fear of losing customers but losing staff.

Yup, Japanese Breakfast in Rochester tomorrow became a "vaccinated or negative PCR test" event over the weekend after there were no restrictions prior. Nice change two days out

The negative PCR test....that's nice to have but someone can take a test, walk out and get infected right there and then so that doesn't really help matters THAT much.

"Within 48 hours" but yeah it's tough. Artist put on the restrictions too, not the venue or NYS

Where is the COVID protocols for your shows? I have tickets to many shows, but don't see anything about COVID/Vaccination Status in any of my confirmation emails? Is it something the venues are emailing you a few days prior to the show?

Yes it's been after the fact via email for me. Ticket links and websites were updated as well. I've been told if you don't see anything on the ticket link, nothing's changed.

I bought a ticket to a Broadway show on 6/4, and on 7/22 I got an e-mail saying that Theater Row was updating their COVID-19 policies and people needed to be vaxxed at least 2 weeks prior to their event. No e-mails about the 20 other events I have in the next 4 months though

that should be how all indoor shows should be for the next 5 months. outdoor shows i think will be different when it comes to masks but should require vaccines or negative tests

They mention in the comments that a picture of their vaccination card is 'sufficient'

Soooooo many people are just going to photoshop.

I haven’t seen any of the venues or shows I’m going to announce anything covid related. Requiring it after already putting tickets on sale is going to be interesting. I can’t imagine requiring masks for all indoor shows as a realistic outcome. They need to be strictly only vaccinated. Allowing people with a negative test resettled only further motivates them to not get vaccinated.
