Where are you seeing an issue with his two old testament tweets?

The reference followed this tweet. Poking fun at the absurdity of the old testament.

I was always under the impression Tom was a a pretty strong Christian for some reason, that tweet was funny but actually kind of surprising to see

 

Given his conversations on Tunnels and all the paranormal stuff he is into, I have always pegged him as a 'not religious but spiritual' type.

 

Tunnels hits different after losing my dad a couple of years ago, I have to say.

It’s something else… and knowing Tom’s story behind it, not to sound crazy, but it’s almost like I felt exactly where he was coming from… it’s… weirdly profound.

 

Fellow member of the DDC here. Tunnels is beautiful.

 

I lost my dog of 8 years last week and Tunnels was strangely comforting.

It was the first song that we wrote, and I wrote the whole song up until the chorus, lyrically, about doubting religion. So, flash forward a year-and-a-half later and about two or three months ago, my dad passed away. The night that he passed away, I woke up from my sleep with an extraordinarily massive amount of energy, and I can only describe it as though someone injected me with a gallon of methamphetamines and Ecstasy with electricity. My heart is going 1,000 miles per minute, and something is in the room and I can’t figure out what this is. I reach for my phone, and there’s nothing on my phone. Mind you, I just left my dad at hospice a couple of hours before that.

I lay back down, and for 30 minutes I’m trying to fall back asleep, but I can’t because I’m literally high. Then my phone buzzes and it’s the hospice nurse and she said, “Please call me.” I called her, and she said, “Your dad passed away 30 minutes ago.” It was the most insane feeling ever. It was so supernatural that it literally changed my life, because it was so strong. Then I went back and I wrote the chorus for this song doubting the existence of God. It’s a juxtaposition within the song itself. That song, “Tunnels,” it sounds a little Motown or it sounds folky but anthemic. It’s so different than any song I’ve ever done. This is probably of the top two songs I’ve ever been a part of in my entire career.

 

I do love that song, but Motown is an insane comparison.

 

If he said somewhat “bluegrassy” maybe, I think I’d agree… it’s got a little old-school twang to it.

Mark posted on his insta story that he's doing chemo today, I can only imagine this means it is working!

People who saw a recent stream mentioned that he said this was his best case scenario.

Just saw this Billboard article that sums up the video below where Mark talks about his cancer (the same that his mother beat) and his treatment.

 

Jxdn covering Darkside, because it was the FIRST Blink song he ever heard.

That statement blew my mind.

 

It's official, I'm old.

After not hearing this song for so long, the verses and chorus are so ALK3 it's crazy.

 

That kinda makes me happy, to be honest. Despite being well beyond their heyday and having a new member of the band, it shows that they are still managing to get new fans and keep the blink name at least somewhat relevant.

 

The youth crossover is pretty huge with blink, which blows my mind.
