    Hey. Supporter

I’m a part of the ATL fan club and I will say the person who runs it, who also put out the accessibility statement, has always come off as very crass and not wanting to deal with people’s concerns. The initial VIP upgrade post explicitly said to not reach out with questions and there will be absolutely no exceptions, so can’t blame a disabled fan from being hesitant to request accommodations when they’re worried of repercussions / backlash. Honestly I think they need a better fan club coordinator who is more respectful. I understand ATL fans are intense and you don’t want to deal with dumb questions, but if you don’t want to answer questions, then get a new job.

Imagine shepherding a "Self-Help Fest" and then doing that type of shit, sad

Well they’ve ignored the allegations for over ten years before Self Help Was even a thing. They’ve been pieces of shit for a long time and the band has always struck me as fake/insincere with the Self Help idea. The band just thinks they can just brush them under the rug which they have for the most part sadly. They are bigger than they’ve ever been which is disgusting.

Not surprising for a band that fucks with Ronnie Radke hard.

gotta love atl getting flack for the future hearts club not being accessible for people with disabilities and not their general inappropriate behavior towards minors throughout the years and the toxic environment the hustler club fostered where girls would dress more provocatively to get attention from them at meet and greets and then just completely covering their tracks by changing the name since much like adtr, they're much too big for any call outs to stick or be addressed. everybody protects their favorite band I guess

Agree we should talk about the other stuff AS WELL. Ableism is all too often overlooked and should absolutely be giving it the same attention we give to sexism/misogyny/abuse/racism etc etc

    Hey. Supporter

I mean for starters, we can discuss the name The Hustler Club and how problematic that was.

I remember hearing about how they used to encourage fans to throw their bras on stage. That always grossed me out.

I'm a huge casual ATL fan, in that I love all their music but I've never been to a show of theirs or followed on fandom stuff with them but knowing the Weightless music video, yea I could see that being the case unfortunately

ATL did change the name of the fanclub before it was a discussed issue afaik and has stopped the bra thing for years now. Not to give them too much credit, but I think they (at least Alex is) are quietly aware of certain things and have worked on changing them. ofc, that doesn't speak to the original disability issue.

In regard to ATL's behavior toward minors and such, I do think they have recognized their behavior and the environment they created for their fans in the past was oftentimes really not appropriate, such as the bras on stage thing. I've seen them live many times and I don't think they have really engaged in that recent years. I feel like they used to make a lot of crude/inappropriate jokes in the past that I don't think they really do anymore. I remember one instance when I saw them (this was probably 6 or 7 years ago) they made some weird joke about asking the crowd who wanted to have sex after the show or something, don't recall entirely, but the crowd was obviously majority underage so that struck me as pretty gross/inappropriate.

Yeah, I think most of the gross stuff came from Jack trying to be funny but it just came out as crude and inappropriate. The last time I saw them there was a definitely a lot more maturity in them than previous performances - however, I would quite like them to come out and address their previous rhetoric on stage, given they made a lot of jokes about sex ad had a large base of underage followers. Jack in particular was terrible for it and even if he has toned it down in recent years, i would like him to address his behaviour. Particularly given I've seen bands who tried to emulate All Time Low's on-stage persona (sup, With Confidence...)

Probably just as gross as the banter on the Mark, Tom, and Travis Show tour. Calling out underage breasts and multiple underage sex jokes.

huge difference between saying that kind of stuff onstage as opposed to one on one at meet and greets.

I've always thought they pick who they want there and just throw dawn under the bus every time this comes up, which is why they never replace her. I had a longer response about this but I changed my mind about how much I wanted to say on this topic publicly and deleted it.

My dad took me to a Pink Spiders (lol) show where All Time Low opened (???) When I was a youth and I'm SO glad I don't remember all time low making creepy comments like that and asking for bras to be thrown. I would have died inside. It was awkward enough with my dad taking me to see MCR as a youth with Gerard feeling himself up

These read like titles from the One America / Newsmax versions of those infomercials for those overpriced “Soft Hits of the 60s” compilations. The SNL skit practically writes itself.
