^ With that said, I love this blink community with all my heart. Don't ever change.

 

I don't need tom back. Great that they seem to get along again, but I am happy with Blink continuing without him. NINE is fantastic.

Totally cool with Tom never coming back and totally cool with him coming back if it doesn’t sound like Neighborhoods.

I’d rather blink just continue as Mark & Travis and get a hired gun in there for touring. I thought Skiba was a dream scenario when they announced it but I haven’t been able to get into any of it.

 

It’s just nice to see their collective bromance is back and alive and well. Regardless on anyone’s thoughts on Matt era blink, there’s no denying he doesn’t have the same chemistry with Mark and Travis.

 

If I were a blink-182 fan, I would want whatever the members of blink collectively want to feel personally and creatively fulfilled and energized and happy.

 

I love Nine and I like California, but I feel like the Skiba ship has sailed. Tom belongs in Blink and Skiba belongs in Trio.

 

I’d really just like to see Tom pull a Brett Gurewitz and just be a songwriter/studio member for the band and only play the big shows/special events. Let Matt still be a member, writer, studio member, and tour with the band just like Brian Baker does for Bad Religion while Brett does his thing. It works so well for them.

It’s a Win-win situation for everyone and the songwriting should only be stronger. Especially how Tom loves Skiba’s songwriting.

Love that they're friends again and talk everyday but I still don't care for Tom's current songwriting or vocals close to enough to want it back in blink

 

I only want to see Tom play with them live. I don’t want him to write with them anymore. If they had actually utilized Matt’s strengths when he first joined the band, they could have easily made Untitled part 2. But nooooooo! (They used Matt a bit better with Nine, and that album rules.)

 

I would very much like new music by Tom and Mark together. And see them live together again. But that’s just me.

Honestly more interested in getting more Simple Creatures from Mark & Alex. Love the two EPs and felt like it continued the direction +44 was aiming for.

 

my hot take is that Simple Creatures is much better than +44

 

Simple Creatures sounds like what +44 was described as before we actually heard it - dark, electronic, Mark sharing vocals (Carol Heller). What I think makes it work is there is no pressure for it to sound like the next evolution of Blink - something +44 had to do.

 

Simple Creatures didn't have much lasting value for me but that could be due to me just never being a big fan of Alex's voice

 

“Adrenaline” rules. All the others are fine.

 

Chapter 13 is a top 5 Mark song

 

Simple Creatures is okay. I like the Mark parts.
