Yep! Caught it at the Continental Airlines Arena, I remember they were trying a new thing out where they curtained off the back half of the venue.

 

The Theater at Continental as I remember it called. I saw MCR with Alkaline Trio in that set-up. The JEW/TBS tour was awesome, caught it up at Cornell when I was in school.

 

I was there too. Loved the setup. When I saw TBS and Weezer at Nassau later that year, it felt like the same size as the mini-Continental despite not being cut off at all.

 

Just going to throw this question out there.. Does any of my Canadian (Toronto area specifically) people know if Deftones is going to be playing in Toronto in August, and if they are, do you think it will be at full-capacity? I'm not really sure if anyone can answer this, but I thought it would be ok to post here. Thanks!

 

I would be surprised if it does go on given events like the CNE have been cancelled. I'm planning to just get out of here in August. Stage 3 is technically "larger outdoor gatherings" but larger means up to 100.

At the same time you've got 20k people outside of the Bell Centre every night. This country is a circus.

 

The whole Canada thing is so weird to me. I doubt shows will be going on in August up there but who knows. I work in a restaurant in Buffalo and pre-Covid, the mall where I work was probably 25% Canadians on any given day. Within the last week we have noticed more and more Ontario plates in the lot, and had a few tables mention to me that fully vaxx'd Canadians can travel into the US using land crossings now, yet still Americans aren't allowed into Canada at land crossings.

Weird flex to go shopping/out to eat in another country "just to get away" from the restrictions in Canada, but go off I guess.

I hate Live Nation so much. The Amphitheater in Bend is the first Live Nation venue in Oregon and tickets to JEW/TBS are $45 before fees and $65 after. That’s some BS.

The Small-Town Touring Boom Is Coming

 

I couldn’t help but notice that a few towns near my hometown are getting a lot of cool shows. WAY more than when I lived there. I guess this is why

 

So strange, there are two totally different all female groups with similar looks on Spotify, Beaches and THE Beaches. I’m assuming the former are opening for JEW/TBS?

 

No it's "The Beaches" who are opening that tour. I saw them open for Passion Pit in 2019 and they were good!

 

Weird opener, but I dig. Surprised they didn’t go with nostalgia and get someone that’s already playing chain fest like Anberlin to open. Outdoor show in Bend in October have the potential to be rather chilly which should be interesting. I just hope it doesn’t rain haha
