    I love big Yez.

  2. I laughed so hard when he did that. I can’t remember ever seeing someone dance after a goal in a shootout.

L'Equipe only gave Sancho a 4 (out of 10) for his performance last night. That's England's lowest rated player. Am I missing something here? He was better than that from what I saw.

They gave Shaw a very deserved 8, though?

Sky gave Sancho a 6 and had him as the lowest rated player. Thought he had a good game myself.

I was just joking. but yeah can't wrap my head around that. he had a good game and was involved in a few good moves, but England seemed to mostly play through the opposite side of him. I though Walker was worse, and the two starting midfielders weren't that much better.

I don’t think the true state of the finances under the previous president were truly known, but we’re seeing it with all these summer deals. They’re considering buying out Pjanic and Umtiti and letting them leave for free because of the new salary cap for this season. Messi hasn’t been renewed solely because La Liga won’t register him as a player until there’s cap space. Busquets just agreed (supposedly) to half his salary, too.

Sancho’s play opened up the game for the other three up front. But I do think he was the least involved for the most part up there. But certainly not a 4. 6 seems fair. I think if he had played more than 6 minutes in the opening four games it might have been different.

I read Busquets has offers from the MLS too. I think holding onto Messi is really hurting them, but how do you not do everything in your power to keep the best player ever.

6 is fair to me too, I just don't think he was the "worst" player on the pitch. Certainly not on his own there.

Wednesday have lost young defender Osaze Urhoghide to Celtic. This after Liam Shaw also signed a pre contract agreement with them earlier in the year. If they’d have both signed with English clubs we’d have got a couple of million for the pair of them but because they went to Scotland we get a meagre £150k each.

Tennessee gets a USMNT WCQ the one weekend I’m out of town. Figures.

  15. Gold says Tomiyasu will be the Aurier replacement at RB, not coming in as a CB. This tells me they are hesitant to play 3 at the back which just confuses me. I mean, he did say they’d have Tomiyasu tuck inside while in possession and allow Reguilon to attack. So I guess we’ll see some of that look too.

I just want to know who the new CBs will be. Gold indicated we want two new players and the names linked tells me it’ll be two new starters. Skriniar, Milenkovic, Kounde, Andersen are the names he listed. I’d imagine Andersen and Milenkovic are the most realistic which I am perfectly fine with. Two upgrades.

  18. I don’t know if Camavinga is ready to be a starter yet but a midfield with him, Pogba, Bruno would be so good and I hate it lol

Making Canada play in Nashville in September is hilarious, though. Well done.

I’ll be at Big Sur that day.

  21. Isn't Camavinga more of a defensive mid? I mean, regardless, he’s only 18 so he isn’t ready to start. But the depth/future is absurd.

  22. The Athletic put a piece out this morning discussing the players' general opinions on the Nuno hire and it seems mostly positive. Apparently some of the squad was hoping for Potter which is a little surprising I suppose. The article also briefly mentions how some of the players were relieved it wasn't Conte lol

You just get the overall sense of relief that Jose is gone. Players have been telling friends it was a wasted season with Mourinho and that they were "under-coached" all year. They also said they're excited to be well-conditioned again because Jose never focused on that aspect (not surprising). It's even less surprising to hear those two things when you consider how many points we dropped at the end of games.

Yes, but he can’t hold a midfield alone.

  24. A new interview with Dele came out this morning too. Said all the things you’d want hear from a player who just had a year from hell. He looked to be in phenomenal shape based on the picture in the article. Hopefully he can continue to grow from the strong form he had to finish the season. Having a great Dele back would be huge for us.

I don’t want England to win the damn thing, but I’m very happy for the United players in the team. Maguire is finally getting praise after holding our defence together for over a year and Shaw is showing everyone what he can do.
