They should release a compilation of their covers. Would pull a lot of indie-leaning fans their way.

That’s why I am all in on this band’s crossover potential and ceiling. Number of people that got hooked via the AUATC cover in the i, i thread is crazy!

Streaming the debut of night 2 of Legend Valley and the second Madhuvan in this Madhuvan > Moby > Madhuvan is absolutely unconscious work by Rick.

That’s some mean jamming going back into that madhuvan. The back and forth quiet and loud section was top of the line live musicianship. They completely slaughtered these Ohio shows.

Patiently awaiting my shipping notification. I forgot that the vinyl is not the entire show (makes sense). Songs they chose are obviously amazing just a little bizarre that Teaprise went on Side C.

Stoked. I assume Ted Tapes is delayed to July or August? I haven't seen an email about it

@neo506 I think Ted Tapes is delayed till like Sept-Oct if I remember right.

The (somewhat justified) rub against Goose from jam snobs and haters is that their improvisational style is a bit one note: just let Rick shred shred shred and play with speed speed speed. I think it has some merit, but there's a few caveats to that: with Jeff added to the band, this lineup is really new. And even before that, Peter only joined the band in late 2017. This band is VERY YOUNG. So the more shows they play together, and perhaps more importantly, the more music they release together, they will begin to branch out in terms of the jamming styles, sounds, and moods.

With all that said, I think this is (one of several) great counterpoint(s) to the "Goose is a one-trick pony" crowd. Patient, serene, full-band interplay. Just gorgeous.

  22. I have confidence they'll evolve to be more eclectic. They're incredible players and touring constantly, it'll come. Berklee dudes who clearly have varying and interesting influences - they just gotta keep digging into their own playing

  23. It's tradition for any jam band live release that has to be cut down to be cut down in weird ass ways. They're just taking influence from Dick Latvala imo
