Walked into the venue RIGHT at the end of Adjy's set when they opened for Foxing on the Dealer tour and I've been obsessed with their EP ever since. So stoked that they're back.

 

That was probably one of my favorite shows ever. Adjy, Tancred, O’Brother and Foxing. All four were so on point

the reward for the new ritual is great! can’t wait for this album. I feel like it will be my AOTY just based on the songs they’ve released and the rollout.

 

Yeah I like it a lot but feel like I gotta hold off on listening to any more songs pre-release after this one

 

My excitement was through the roof following Speak with the Dead but that's been somewhat tempered by the other 2 tracks. Haven't returned to them much at all.

I've kinda fallen off the ritual/rollout business due to having little free time recently so I'm guna wait til it streams probably next week. Enjoyed the 3 songs prior mind.

Supporting Manchester Orchestra on their Million Masks of God tour, announcing tomorrow, fairly sure it's a 2022 thing.

 

Foxing was on their last tour. We just had this discussion in the Dogleg thread but come on…change it up a bit and give a marginalized band that slot. I mean, I’m happy for them don’t get me wrong, but this tour literally just happened right before the pandemic.

 

Hopefully Foxing announces the support for the record release show soon

 

I don't get this. Bands can take whoever they want to on tour, often people they already know and respect, and most importantly, bands who will draw revenue. It shouldn't be ethnicity based, and I can't fathom why someone would ask that it be.

 

While my original reply may have been a tad harsh (I was merely just saying it would be nice for them to tour with different groups since they just toured together last time), if you can’t see why having diverse tour lineups and promoting marginalized bands on tour is important, well I don’t know what to say. Obviously bands can tour with whoever they want but to say it shouldn’t be ethnicity based and just who draws well is the mentality that is why POCs struggle in the music industry.

 

Foxing has two lgbtq+ members so fwiw it’s not just another cis white male band.
