It's almost as if he's got something playing on his mind...

    It's all hell.

I feel very conflicted right now

Can we sack Southgate in the middle the tournament? Spurs are looking for a manager.

Worst day of the tournament so far. Thank god Perisic’s goal was a banger.

    It's all hell.

Also I'm in a (presumably) very pro-Brexit pub and the mood is very tense.

    Pray for Thrillcollinz

Southgate does not seem to rate Sancho very much? I don't understand why he didn't bring him on. He is exactly the type of player that could have made the difference today.

Yeah. I don’t get why Rashford and Sancho didn’t come on alongside Kane. That seems a dynamite front three of creativity and finishing.

I presume the answer is Sancho doesn’t play in the premier league lol

I doubt Southgate has even seen Sancho play this season. Sterling is woeful and gets 90 minutes, despite slowing everything down every time he gets the ball. Rice and Phillips were lost. Pathetic performance.

Grealish has to start next game.

All this talk about an amazing bench and it's not even touched.

That was poor. Really poor. Kane was none existsant. Grealish had no impact. After Foden went off, we seemed insistent on playing every pass to James, even though he had no winger in front of him. Just dreadful game management.

A massive occasion for both sides but it looked like only Scotland raised themselves for the game. No real problem in terms of qualification as I’d still expect us to beat the Czechs.

Is Kane trying devalue himself for a move?

Ian Wright speaking facts here, zero creativity in the team today. Shaw was ok but I was slightly disappointed with Reece James on the other side, IDK whether he was told to pass rather than put crosses into the box but he had next to no attacking impetus. Midfield 2 bang average, Mount & Sterling bang average, Kane nonexistent, Foden looked up for it and he was taken off! No Sancho, Bellingham would have been good coming into the midfield. Scotland better in every position in all honesty, on another day Che Adams could've had Scotland winning 2-0

Really should’ve been saved though. Lol
I feel like Rashford should be starting

I thought Shaw looked great (no bias lol) but England seemed to refuse to use him much in an attacking sense.

It's time to face the facts: Southgate's conservatism is perfect for Spurs.

Yeah, Lyndon Dukes was practically invisible during both matches, save for a few moments. Nesbit should be starting, I think he's the better choice.

I think Dykes was best in his own box. He was ok in the championship this season but far from a player who’s going to make it in the premier league any time soon. Even a mid table premier league striker instead of Dykes could have made a real difference tonight.

Agreed. You're a Wednesday fan, right? Do you think Callum Paterson would had been a suitable replacement?

I am. I don’t think he would have made much of a difference. He’s a real nuisance, who would have won them a few free kick in dangerous positions but I think Stones and Mings were solid defensively and would have headed everything away. His long throw might have been a weapon as well.

First I've seen of Valverde being linked, but that could be a good appointment.

Can Hungary hold on or have they just angered the beast? Against the run of play.

As much as I do appreciate the dribbling and evading, I find Messi's vision and passing to be just as impressive.
