I don't remember seeing a trailer for this but it looks fun (and funny) as hell!

 

Just downloaded 10 demos from that Steam thing. Hopefully at least one of them is good.

 

Rift Apart is so damn good

 

Yeah the opening to Rift Apart is as impressive as everyone says. Such a game, really makes me want a new Jak and Daxter with this level of visuals.

Also loving Astros Playroom, what a fun little add on.

 

The end of the Extended Xbox Showcase had a nice breakdown of Scarlet Nexus. The game looks very interesting, especially the enemies.

Damn spent like 45 minutes running around trying to get in good shape for Phrike and had him down to the last half of bar 3 but I kept getting hit by his slash move. I just couldn't get the timing right for the dodge. Feel like I have him other than that. Cba doing another run today lol.

 

Finished replaying Outer Worlds. This time I put Addelaide in charge of Edgewater and Zora in charge of Stellar Bay, which I found a bit more satisfying. The fact that Reed couldn't survive more than two days outside of Edgewater is hilarious. The epilogue skipped Felix and Max because I never recruited them haha. Also, since I only recovered a portion of the chemicals needed to revive the Hope colonists, it made it seem like the future of Halcyon was a little more uncertain. One thing that didn't change was that Lilya still dies in the epilogue, even though I got rid of her myself. I wonder if there's an ending where you don't save Welles? Does the Board just let the colony collapse?

I mean it prints the destiny logo onto the toast, that’s pretty sick

 

Personally I like my toast to be toasted and not half bread still.

 

Here to also say that Rift Apart is some of the most fun I have ever had playing a game. I really think the PS5's capabilities have a lot to do with it. Just like with Returnal (Going to go back to that this weekend) and Demon's Soul's, this just feels like such a big leap from last gen and this is just the tip of the iceberg for what the PS5 can do.


Legitimately savoring every moment with Rift Apart, don't want it to end. Will definitely play it again and on a higher difficulty. Going to play 2016 R&C after this prob.

 

The Sable demo on Steam is really cool.

 

What Bethesda game/series should I play next on Gamepass? Haven't tried Dishonored, Wolfenstein, or The Evil Within, or played anything before Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Doom 2016. Like, would Morrowind feel really dated now, any more so than something like RE4?

Agree with Dishonored/Prey/Arkane Studios. Very good games. Second choice would be the Wolfenstein games.

 

Tony Hawk 1 & 2 finally comes out on the Switch next weekend and I couldn’t be more stoked

Just realized I already have the first Dishonored in my Steam library from when I bought it who knows how long ago so technically that's out of the question because I specifically asked about Gamepass haha, but yeah, it looks like that's gonna be my next big game. Wolfenstein was kinda already on my list of things to eventually try out anyway, but Prey wasn't, so thanks for putting that on my radar!
