"How Dare You Want More" has to be the set closer for this tour, right?

Way different than the live version but it’s still great

Gonna be polarizing for those who overplayed the live version like I did but it’s so so good. it’s just different enough

I swear, every song from this that we’ve heard is top tier bleachers/antonoff.

I have always thought some of his mixing for Bleachers specifically is odd. I've mentioned before how much I hate how Good Morning is mixed for headphones. Easily a top 5 song for me from him, but some of the mixing makes it unlistenable. Dude obviously knows what he's doing - just don't know why he doesn't bring what he does with other artists to Bleachers.

Wow, all the songs are great, but How Dare You Want More is something really fresh and unique. Jack has raised the bar once again!

Great song but I’m really not feeling the mixing on these at all. I get what he’s going for but I’d enjoy the song much more if it sounded full.

Yup. They all sound very hollow to me. Songs themselves are cool though.

What exactly is he going for? Because that's what I'm not understanding haha

I think the latest one sounds best of the bunch so far. Everything is really clear, and it has a lot of life in the performances. It doesn't have the same heft of the last two albums, but that's not inherently a bad thing. The other songs feel a little flatter and the vocals are too low in the mix for my liking. Right now, it feels like all of them will be better live.

  14. this seems rude to say but I wish the recorded version sounded more like "Bullet."

this is the only one of the singles so far where the production has bothered me but it's probably just because I heard that live version first (and loved it)

I think he’s trying to emulate the production of the earlier work of his 70s/80s idols. Like when they had no budget and shitty technology I guess? Idk, it just reminds me a lot of the production of Springsteen’s first album. It’s like he’s trying to role play as someone who’s not the most successful pop producer of the last decade.

It’s definitely a bit harder to adjust to after playing the Fallon performance on repeat.

I love it. Song has a 'raw' sound. But I loved the production on 'Suburbia I've Given You All..' which a lot of people open this site don't seem to like. It's hard to describe, like an intentionally sloppy, DIY-type sound I guess.

It sounds like he went for more of an “indie” style production approach, but I definitely think the song would be better served if he had gone full Imploding the Mirage bombast.

Big Springsteen/Rosalita vibes at the mid to end of this song. Shocking that i love it.

Also, I was thinking about what it sounds like inside of a bus and how great that audio sounded. Really amazing engineering.

One of the best sounding streamed performances I’ve heard. My only gripe is that the sound didn’t match up with the video on some songs.

I'm hoping there's some way to hear it again at some point in the future.

It's a huge bummer that we can't replay a stream we paid $15 for. I think they made a mistake by charging to watch it. The performance was THAT GOOD that they could have posted it on Youtube and let the algorithm do its job. It's obviously a bit riskier of a strategy, but I think it would spread like wildfire and the money they made from increased exposure ahead of the new record would've greatly outweighed whatever they made from the $15 price.

Full disclosure - I know nothing about the finances behind this stuff, just a late-night thought I had while watching the stream.
