Yeah, the reviews are on point. This is terrific. I’m a homer for them anyway but this is undeniably good.

Hope it takes them back to the big time - I know they play (and sell out) a lot of larger venues. Would love to see what they could do in a real arena.

yup. Joe’s bass playing/tone on this is more old school Joe. I can’t remember where but he mentioned he used a jazz bass a lot on this album rather than a pbass like he’s been playing the past decade or so. Pretty sure he played a Geddy Lee signature jazz bass during the Siren Song era.

Outside of this community people seem to be really enjoying this album. Stoked about that.

I get especially hyped for the run from Monarch through Rules of Play. Tim and the boys really channel the energy of their younger selves on those tracks and I love everything about it.

oh gotcha! But yeah haven’t seen too many negative reactions. Wonder if someone will review it for the site.

The only song I think is weak on here is Sounds Like.

The title track has grown on me (although I do think Tim phoned in the lyrics in an afternoon) and I feel Rules of Play isn't as big a closer as previous ones, but otherwise it's a good, really consistent album.

I'm surprised how much I enjoy this. Probably their best overall since Sufferer.

This is their best album in a decade. Sufferer-Endgame vibes!

I highly enjoy this as well! Sudden Urge for me is a stand out. I love the last track as it's urgent, fast paced, and just gets it done. It(Rules of Play) doesn't necessarily scream "last song" on paper but it works damn good.

I think my top three right now are:

    The Numbers
    Monarch
    Sounds Like

Broken Dreams is still up there too. I love that song a lot and I’m surprised I haven’t overplayed it. Sudden Urge grew on me a lot too. I love the heavy guitars.

Least favorite is probably NG or ‘Sooner or Later’. I find the prechorus in SOL very annoying, but the bridge saves the song for me.

I also noticed that Forfiet and Monarch are switched around on Apple Music. On my vinyl Monarch is track 6 and Forgeit is track 7.

Unintended side effect of Nowhere Generation is I finally understand why everyone hated the production on Wolves now

Talking to Ourselves is definitely a highlight for me. Sounds straight up Siren’s and I love it.

Need to spend some more time with it but happy to see so many positive reviews.

I can see that logic. I will say the bonus tracks, Megaphone and Broadcast Frequency, are such great bangers that really benefit from the rougher production imo.

I honestly hadn't listened to Broken Dreams much even though it's been out for a while. But man that song is kind of a banger. Love the bridge. Rules of Play is easily the weakest song on the album for me, but it's not something I would necessarily skip.

Middle of a Dream is quickly becoming my favorite, but I’ll probably have a different favorite tomorrow

Damn Forfeit is a straight acoustic banger

yea I'm also very happy with this album. I've fallen a bit out of them since Sufferer era, I like all of their albums to a degree but I haven't quite gotten the same hype from later albums as from Siren Songs/Sufferer, but throwing stuff like Forfeit in really helps for me. Sudden Urge is also another highlight, The Numbers was my favorite of the singles, and Monarch is really fun. I do think there are still some that are a bit by the numbers for them on first listen but they're not bad. Glad to see it's getting well received.
